It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The vEPC Engineer is mainly accountable for the timely development and delivery of complex engineering design and support deliveries, focusing mainly on the delivery of the customer on design, integration and testing activities. This includes the development of network architecture design, integration and configuration (Datafills), Capacity planning, network interface analysis and design, and overall engineering support. It also involves network performance assessment, audits and network performance enhancements (optimization). The objective of this position is to provide design, integration, testing and optimization services remotely for global customers. Primary Roles and Responsibilities: Provides technical network planning, integration, acceptance testing and optimization support to assist customers in network rollout/modernization. To proactively help the project teams to identify and collect the required inputs for network planning and optimization tasks. Provides project engagement support within a remote delivery framework and ensures that all the deliveries strictly adhere to the negotiated deadlines. Familiar and up-to-date with latest guidelines, engineering rules on how to dimension and plan various network elements including cMM and cMG. Competent in design and integration in packet core nodes mainly cMM and cMG. Applies Global best practices work instructions/processes/tools ensuring high quality and timely deliveries. Applies knowledge and skills to analyse and resolve complex network problems. SD Representation in customer/project interface and acts like a Single Point of Contact for all technical/project related matters. Technical Skills Required: Strong telecom fundamentals Solid understanding of Mobile Packet Core, IP and VAS networks Highly skilled in Network planning, Design and integration of Packet Core nodes. Good understanding of technical specifications (like 3GPP, LTE) relevant to CS/PS Domain. Good Knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP, PPP, AAA, OSPF, GTP & Diameter. Good knowledge in capacity dimensioning and optimization. Experience in NOKIA cMM , cMG design , integration and testing.
