Job Description

    What are the duties of a transportation specialist Transportation Specialists help coordinate and manage the safe, cost-effective transportation operations necessary to inventory and monitor wildlife, support law enforcement and search and rescue activities, locate and fight fires, and support scientific research.Job description
    • To manage independently complete outbound logistics & dispatch operations of domestics/export
    • Manage Transporters and build capacity for transportation as per the plan
    • Manage & maintain freight agreements/contracts for transportation and logistics services
    • To manage service providers for efficient logistics operations
    • To set right systems and process for documentation, ERP and MIS activities - invoicing, freight bill processing, insurance claim process, E-way bill generation, taxation, and compliance etc.
    • To have sound understanding of state level transport document requirement and statutory compliance
    • To manage the TRC and TC
    • Ensure proper PDI & packaging of shipment
    • Ensure timely and error-free execution of documents
    • To control freight cost and improve on-time dispatch & delivery, quality, and safety parameters
    • To engage with stakeholders - transporters, dealers, sales & regional office, production and Quality
    • Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success and/or recurring problems
    • Develop processes that enable zero quality defects, share containment, and planned corrective actions
    • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive information
    • Participate in LSP Technical evaluation
    • Prepare & maintain annual/monthly provision tracker and timely MIS reports
    • Align with Global Logistics function & support standardization of processes and leveraging of spend.
    • Manage the yearly Cost-out target to achieve planed results year on year.
    • Process automations through Kaizens, small group activities to improve operational efficiency
