Job Description

    Tunnel Construction Manager duties include (but not limited to): Work closely with the QAM and DQAM to implement the project Quality Plan. Participate in preparatory meetings and regular progress meetings in the assigned area. Manage the area QA staff and schedule daily activities for Inspectors and Technicians, and coordinate with QA Laboratory Testing Technicians. Coordinate with the QC Area Quality Manager for scheduling inspections and quality-related items. Observe all construction (including QA & QC activities) and perform inspections as required. Review Inspector Daily Reports and report QA test data. Working with the QAM and DQAM, issue Written Deficiency Notices and Non-Conformance Reports, review corrective actions, and schedule re-inspections to verify work has been brought up to standard. Investigate root causes of deficiencies, report on findings and recommend plans to avoid recurrence of nonconformance. Coordinate the resolution of nonconformance dispositions with the HRCP Area Quality Control Manager and the QAM and coordinate with QC for resolution of quality issues in the field. Develop, maintain, and review the NCR and the Deficiency logs. Review and approve work listed on payment request.
