Job Description

    Vice President AdministrationKey Responsibilities:Strategic Planning & Leadership: Align HR strategies with business goals for thermal projects in construction, commissioning, and operations. Lead HR teams across sites, encouraging collaboration and growth. Manage succession planning, industrial relations, compliance, and talent development. Oversee facility management, security, canteen, and transport services.Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for managers, executives, and staff unique to thermal power projects. Manage manpower planning, budgeting, and ensure robust talent pipelines for all key roles, including leadership, technical, and site-based positions.Performance Management: Align individual goals with project performance KPIs (Timeline, Quality and Safety). Drive transparent appraisal systems, PIPs, and career progression plans. Train plant managers and supervisors in performance coaching and feedback.Training and Development: Create targeted programs to bridge skill gaps and boost technical and safety expertise, with training aligned to project execution and compliance requirements.Develop a competency framework for thermal Projects and deliver focused training in technical, safety, and leadership areas.Support continuous learning through certifications, on-the-job training, and vendor led workshops, and evaluate training impact based on project performance.Employee Engagement & Retention: Create retention strategies for key positions and address attrition risks early. Use engagement surveys to guide targeted improvements in employee satisfaction. Enhance recognition programs for safety, innovation, and strong performance. Promote a culture focused on safety and results.Culture & Organizational Development: Foster a safety-focused, high-performance culture at all thermal sites. Build agile, accountable structures for effective collaboration. Establish clear career paths and promotion criteria for plant and HR teams. Benchmark HR practices against leading energy sector standards.Compliance & Policy Governance: Ensure compliance with labour laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards across all thermal sites. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to manage audits and statutory filings. Develop and update HR policies and SOPs for site and corporate operations.Compensation and Benefits: Structure competitive compensation aligned with industry benchmarks and internal equity. Oversee payroll and benefits administration for permanent and contract workforce.Review and enhance benefits (health, housing, travel) for site-based employees.Change Management: Guide the HR team and the entire workforce through organizational changes, such as new technologies or strategic shifts toward new energy businesses.Administrative Oversight: Manage general administration, which can include areas such as security, facility management, canteen Management, and transport.Qualification:A Masters degree in Human Resources/ Industrial Relations from institute of repute.Experience in HR and administration for large infrastructure projects.Strong leadership, interpersonal, liaison and organizational skills.Strong knowledge of legal & regulatory compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Required Skills:Leadership & Strategy: Guide teams, set direction, and influence stakeholders; implement HR strategies and policies.Interpersonal and Communication Skills: The role requires strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage employee relations, negotiate, and present to senior leadership.Administration and facility management skill.Problem-Solving: Strong skills to identify and resolve project workforce, contractor issues.Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining high safety standards.Leadership: to motivate, guide, and mentor team, fostering collaboration and a positive work environmentTeamwork: Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.If you are actively looking for a job change and searching for new opportunities, please contact our HR Team.Our calling and WhatsApp number is 8.7.9.6.5.0.7.5.9.9 Email: hrdjobshelpconsultant at gmail dot com
