Description
The Web Services Engineer is responsible for design, build, maintenance and support for all business and technical aspects of the Kronos Analytics product extension, specifically the Administration Website written in Python (Django). The site allows internal resources to manage, configure, control and monitor the analytics offering. Candidate must have a strong understanding of UI, cross- browser compatibility, general web functions and standards. Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as Django, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and APIs. Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST) is needed to be successful in this position. Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to Python based applications. Must be able to directly interact with other Kronos Analytics consultants to gather and document required information effectively and provide recommendations to product owners relating to the required changes needed. Must be flexible for taking calls in the evening with US team members. In certain scenarios, they will be required to support major releases and upgrades during US hours. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Qualifications
Required Technical Skills Expert in Python and Django. Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture. Good understanding of server-side templating languages and REST API s. Good understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 Understanding of accessibility and security compliance. Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes Strong unit test and debugging skills Proficient understanding of code versioning in GIT. Experience with the Kronos Workforce Central or Kronos Workforce Dimensions platforms and Analytics applications and database structures is a plus.
