Obtains help by sounding alarms.Working as a security officer comes with a high level of responsibility so prospective employees need to be able to demonstrate: A polite and approachable manner at all times. A reasonable level of physical fitness and strength.We are looking for a competent Security Officer to undertake the surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.Security Guard Responsibilities:Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry

  • Obtain help by sounding alarms
  • Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
  • Control traffic by directing drivers
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures
  • Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
  • Maintain organizations stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors and the premises
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Adhere to all company service and operating standards
  • Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
  • Protect the companys assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues
  • Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations
Security Guard Duties 1)Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.2)Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.3)Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.4)Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.5)Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.6)Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.7)Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed.8)Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary..9)Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.10)Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.11)Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • State registration/license
  • current and valid driving license plus a safe driving record
  • knowledge of state laws and regulations
  • working knowledge of security operations and safety practices
  • working knowledge of enforcement policies and procedures
  • working knowledge of safety equipment
  • no disqualifying criminal history
