Job Description

  • High-level design and architecture of hardware systems in wireless/wireline communications and networking products
  • Make architectural and design trade offs for embedded systems, and oversee implementation of the same
  • Drive system partitioning and functional architecture for hardware products
  • Work with Chipset providers to understand the latest capabilities in hardware and their reference designs
  • Drive selection of key components in hardware design of products with partner ecosystem to control costs and performance
  • Own hardware realization, integration with software and lifecycle of the same
  • Work with hardware partners for mass manufacturing, testing, quality assurance and regulatory compliance of hardware in various environment
  • Skills and experience
  • Strong experience in delivering carrier class hardware-based products in wireline/wireless communication/networking domains
  • Hands-on experience of designing hardware based products from chipset/component selection to schematic capture, layout, assembly and testing to final delivery into the intended application
  • Good knowledge of embedded systems, RTOS processing and hands-on experience in working with various computing architectures
  • Good understanding of hardware manufacturing, testing, mass production and regulatory certification processes
  • Ability to drive ecosystem partners towards implementing hardware and feature roadmaps as per needs of the networks
  • A team player in cross functional work environment
  • Engineering graduate with 10-15 years experience (1 position), 3-5 years experience (1 position)
