Analyst - SAP Project System (PS)

Job Description

• SAP-PS Support Analyst will be responsible for support, troubleshooting & fixing of incidents, development for small/standard requests, solutioning, incident updates in remedy for SAP-PS modules; should be flexible working in 2 shifts and on call supports for weekends/holidays , add business value by delivering high quality solutions and faster incidents resolutions for SAP, identify automation and process improvement opportunity, and assess gaps between existing systems and recommending standard and best processes.
• This position is of Functional Profile, which requires expertise in SAP-PS Module; well versed with integration of FICO,MM, PP and SD.
• Requires excellent written & oral communications skills to work directly with Super Users & End Users from Business.
• This position also requires understanding & knowledge of ITIL framework and documentation practices.
• SAP PS Implementation Experience: End-to-end Implementation experience in manufacturing domain.
• Good configuration knowledge of PS structures: WBS, Network, Milestones, Cost Planning, Budgeting, Material Requirement planning, Project quotation, Time sheets, Goods issues, and other project management activities in SAP PS.
• Must have completed at least two end-to-end implementations.
• Experience on complete PS module cycle from project creation to settlement. Must be proficient in handling Issues/support functions
• Hands-on data migration including Network, WBS and Product cost related data.
• Configure solutions to enable corporate strategic objective and drive business value; work through SAP process improvements/automation and document the To-be business process configured in SAP-PS,test and ensure proper integration with other modules
• Integrate between business needs and technology solutions to define support procedures, define systems strategy, articulate systems requirements, test, prototype etc.
• Provide input on technical implications of specific requirements of SAP solutions, including legacy data conversion, development of technical objects and interfaces for small requests
• Work with FICO, SD, MM, PP process teams to facilitate incidents/requests progress and to ensure an integrated system solution
• Good trouble-shooter and proven exposure as a Production support specialist.
• Involved in month end and year end closing activities and worked on developing the Business process procedures to help end users in executing the transactions
• Exposure to ITIL framework, worked with problem management and re-enforcement training to reduce/optimize incidents and Training to change management.
• Proven competency in presentation, training, documentation and support. Training Business Process Owners, Power users and End users.
• The position requires managing and interacting with global technical/functional SAP teams and/or with the customer through daily activities, weekly meetings. This resource will leverage standard SAP processes and program/portfolio methodologies to manage and measure work driving continuous overall system.
• Candidates must demonstrate proficiency working in ECC 4.7 as well as ECC 6.0. To coordinate and communicate Module Specific status, productions remedy queue status; handle escalations; and ensure alignment between the sector goals, IT strategy, and prioritization of Incidents / Requests/ problem.
• Actively engage with BAs, architects, PMs and developers in reviewing and analyzing the requirement documents and find the gaps in functional and non functional requirements
• Define and execute test strategies, plans, estimations for small to large size projects (primarily but not limited to Runners, Minor Repeaters and Major Repeaters)
• Hold test strategy/case reviews with cross-functional teams
• Drive and own the impact analysis process for regression testing
• Create and review traceability matrix, test data, test artifacts of functional user requirements to ensure that deliverables are of a high standard in terms of fit for purpose
• Lead, create, enhance, and maintain detailed automated and performance testing frameworks including the coding of scalable, reusable components and functions
• Conduct research and development activities, tool evaluation, Proof Of Concepts etc. for automation and performance testing based on industry trends and Eaton needs
• Evaluate performance, technical acceptance criteria and standards compliance to ensure that systems with interfaces perform as specified
• Proficient in analyzing results, resolving performance related issues, optimizing and tuning
• Perform test execution, log test results
• Performance Automation PoC (Proof of Concept), Design and establish new frameworks
• Evaluate new QA automation tools
• Device innovative ways to device end to end QA automation and related metrics reporting
• Log defects, prioritize, triage and manage defects through active coordination with cross functional groups
• Identify and raise potential risks and issues in time with the mitigation plan
• Create QA status reports, test closure reports and capture data for standard QA metrics, drive improvements through metrics
• Ensure effective use of Eaton standard processes and tools for testing activities
• Train and mentor team members on manual, automation test comments, domain and best practices
• Participate in Continuous improvement initiatives related to processes or policies impacting QA for the applications/projects/enterprise.

• Graduate, BE, Post Graduates,MBA, OR ME
• 4-6 Years of experience on SAP-PS Module
