APAC Telco Practice LeadLocation Remote AustraliaPosting date 11 hours ago(1/13/2021 10:08 AM)Job ID 83819 Job summary The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Telco Services Lead specialized in network function virtualization (NFV) and cloud to join our Asia Pacific (APAC) team. In this role, you will increase the adoption of Red Hat s solutions in our key telco service provider customers, network equipment providers, and key system integrator partners. Through a series of in person and remote interactions you will win the trust and confidence of their engineering, development, and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of the Red Hat solution. You ll need a thorough working knowledge and practical experience with OpenStack and OpenShift or Kubernetes based cloud infrastructures to support applications providing virtualized network functions (VNF) as well as containerized network functions (CNF) to the telco industry. You ll bring a wealth of industry experience and domain expertise, especially in either mobile or fixed-line telecommunication, to play a leading role in the design and project delivery of these business critical solutions, and therefore you ll need a solid working knowledge of agile project methodologies, as well as DevOps models and technologies. As a Telco Practice Lead, you ll play a critical role in bringing together cross-functional teams from Red Hats product business units, product engineering, support, consulting, and sales to meet the needs of these demanding customers. You will serve as a customer advocate with these organizations to architect the right solutions and to ensure that those solutions are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business. Primary job responsibilities

• Win the confidence of our prospective customers through the successful delivery of discovery, analysis, and design workshops that shape and influence the customers use cases and architecture design decisions to align with the Red Hat solution and customer business outcome
• Communicate effectively with client C-level executives to understand their business perspectives and position Red Hats digital transformation offerings and value
• Architect, design, and scope the projects as well as lead consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments
• Design, create, and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell , service, and support
• Work closely with product business units, product engineering, consulting, support, and sales to ensure a world-class customer experience with Red Hats products and services
• Create best practices and contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools designed to scale Red Hats services capabilities, promote repeatable customer engagements, and lower delivery risk
• Demonstrate expertise and vision in the telco community by producing world-class whitepapers, webinars, etc. and speaking at industry leading conferences

Required skills

• 15+ years of experience in the telco industry; knowledge of one or more communications service provider market like mobile, fixed-line, and cable
• Broad and deep technical experience with Linux, container, virtualization and cloud technologies e.g. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenStack, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, Red Hat OpenShift
• Deep understanding of ETSI NFV architecture and the telco main use cases e.g. vCPE, vEPC, vCDN, vIMS, vSGi-LAN, vPCRF, PCEF, Diameter, vDPI, vRAN, MEC, MANO etc.
• Deep knowledge of telecom technologies, industry trends like network architectures, technologies, services, used in wireline, wireless, cable operators
• Solid knowledge of telco business processes related to business support system (BSS) and operational support system (OSS) operations e.g. eTOM, TAM, SID, FrameworX, ITIL
• Solid background in consultative customer engagements with either a major systems integrator, a network equipment provider, or a telco services provider
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including extensive experience presenting to C-level executives at large enterprises
• Specific knowledge in NFV or SDN areas like benefits, technologies, key vendors, use cases, etc.
• Excellent understanding of or participation in telco tender processes, proven and successful winning records for large-scaled telco service and solution bids
