If you would like some flexibility then please discuss this with the hiring manager.Intoduction:IBMO is responsible for the front to back processing of asset classes i.e Rates, ROST, FX, Treasury, Secured Financing, Securitised Products etc. The process includes Reconciliations, Trade validations, Deal Review, Portfolio reconciliation, Liaising with the FO desks, Trade Bookings, UT controls, Resets etcThis role is specific to Rates where the candidate would be required to support during APAC(SGP) shifts.The Global team has sites in London, New York and Asia, has enabled us to realign our global IBMO teams to deliver a cost effective, flexible and controlled world class global support service

  • Perform various controls to ensure the FO systems are matching with BO systems.
  • BAU activities are performed within SLA and with best quality service
  • Query management.
  • Trade validations.
  • Apply Resets
What will you be doing
  • Working within a control focused environment, with processes that are performed at the highest level, minimising any operational risk and closing key breaks in a timely manner
  • Review and perform the system reconciliation function, ensuring that the back office system contains all the trades that are in the front office systems (FOBO). All differences have to be investigated, escalated and cleared within agreed timescales.
  • Contribute and support the IBMO strategic regulatory changes and play a key role in the move from legacy architecture.
  • Fostering excellent working relationship with internal counterparts (i.e. Senior Management, IT, Desk, Sales team, Trade Support, Confirmations , Legal, Finance).
  • Strong/Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of breaks and issues.
  • Challenge processes in order to achieve more effective processes and efficiency saves to the firm.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the middle office environment and the front-to-back processes to perform the BAU daily tasks, such as Reconciliations, Trade validations, Deal Review, Portfolio reconciliation, Liaising with the desks, Trade Bookings, UT controls.
What we re looking for:
  • Degree level or hands on relevant experience within a similar / comparable banking environment
  • Passionate about continuous improvements, leading by example and using their network of contacts to both improve their personal and team performance, identify areas for process improvement and ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including and not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical skills.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Reconciliation experience preferably working with trade support functions.
  • Basic understanding for Rates/ROST products.
  • Escalation Handling and eye for details.
Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Good with excel with basic knowledge of macos.
  • Knowledge of Rates derivatives.
  • Client communication and service.
