Job Description

Assistant Manager Health Underwriting Purpose of Role: The role will be responsible for all Group Underwriting deliverables, directing and managing the team, ensuring a profitable and healthy risk portfolio health by leveraging business channels to achieve an ideal portfolio mix and supporting the sales functions in achievement of top line as well as bottom line business targets including self - validation limit for underwriting

Education: Graduates in any stream, preferable in specialize in Finance & accounts/ MBA Finance

  • Minimum 2 years in group underwriting

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring uniformity in quality & maintain TATs of Underwriting decisions.
  • Frequent changes / modifications in compliance and regulatory requirements involves elaborate changes in policies, procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of Group Underwriting
  • Works on projects / matters of limited complexity in a supporting role.
  • Handling Sales / branch queries preferred along with cross functional stake holder management.
  • Ensure speedy processing of cases from all branches.
  • Responsible for conducting end to end management in terms of adhering to the TAT agreed and compliance of rules and regulations of IRDA and ensuring there is no breach in the process, so as to ensure smooth completion of the IRDA Audits.
  • Completing ISO documentation procedure and being responsible part of the ISO Internal and External Audits.
  • Monitoring the policy records for the Policies issued.
  • Quality check for quotes released (as per authority limits) and policies issued.
  • Monthly Audit of policies issued.

  • High on achievements and should have strong domain skills in administering this role in accordance with the Organization expectation.
  • Training the other stake holders on Underwriting guidelines within the organization
