Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Tool Development
  • OEM Supply Chain
  • NPD - Understand the engineering drawing, Feasibility study, Production sequence and estimate cycle time & cost.
  • Cost reduction projects by ZBC, 7 levers and VAVE tools
  • Inventory Management by MOQ , lead time reduction with New ABC Analysis
  • Timely procurement at right cost, Discount contracts, NDA and other agreements with suppliers
  • Vendor Improvement & Greening supply chain
Job Description
  • Major experience in Tool Development, New Product Development, OEM Part Purchase
  • Responsible for the Tool Cost Target Price, Tool Supplier Identification and Timely Tool Development of Press Part, Aluminium PDC, Cast Iron Patterns, Lamination Punching Tool, Plastic and Rubber Mould.
  • Handle OEM Supply Chain in responsible way.
  • Responsible for New Product Development/ New Product Introduction.
  • Study and Understand the engineering drawings, Feasibility study-Manufacturing Limitations, Determine production sequence and estimate cycle time & cost.
  • Travel to suppliers to review facility, assess capabilities, quality systems and facilitate technical support.
  • Drive qualification process in co-ordination with CFT (Design, Quality, Manufacturing and Marketing) for timely completion on the NPD/NPI.
  • Reduction in number of iterations to achieve required quality.
  • Drive Engineering Changes in efficient and effective way.
  • Negotiate price, MOQ, Lead Time, VMI, NDA, Rate/Quality Contracts with suppliers.
  • Facilitate transition from development to regular production procurement.
  • Drive cost reduction and process Improvements
  • Enhance supplier capacities according to the business requirements.
  • Preparation of Weekly/ Monthly MIS reports as per guide lines given by seniors and sending it to concerns.
  • Active participation in different initiatives such as Greening Supply Chain, Kaizens, CII Exim Business Excellence.
  • Support to IMS audit, Process management, CII Exim Bank Business Excellence Model initiatives

Qualification Details

  • Essential Qualification: -BE Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Diploma
  • Preferred Qualification: -BE Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Essential Experience: -Diploma With 07 Years OR B.E. with 05 Years
  • Preferred Experience: -Worked on Tool Development, OEM Supply Chain and NPD/NPI in busy Purchasing team from any manufacturing company

  • Essential : -Analytical Skills
  • Strong cost reduction experience
  • Cost breakdown analysis
  • Ability to build positive relationships with different departments and suppliers
  • Updates of happenings in surrounding environments
