Job Description

The incumbent will work with Global Commodity Managers, plants and suppliers on Global Sourcing Projects related to cost out via resourcing, supplier or part rationalization. The primary function of this role is to manage the project and coordinate activities between Global CMs & GSC CoE Pune.Job Responsibilities1. Close Co-ordinations with Category Managers in their negotiation by providing the analysis, details around the supplier performance, financial data, Highlighting the risk associated, preparation of Sourcing Work Books and recommendation to Global Commodity Managers on the preferred solutions. 2. Drive & Manage the request received, conduct a Kick off Call with the requestor to ensure have full allignment with everyone, Expectation from all Parties. 3. Provide a written summary of the information needed for this negotiation preparation and expectations from both parties, request written concurrence from the Requestor that this summary is correct. 4. Understanding of Supply chain process, tool & metrices, quick response to the request received. 5. Pricing Proposals Ability to gather pertinent price data from system, understand price changes, Pricing Escalations and able to provide data to pricing dept. and sales to ensure that we have made our best estimation before submitting proposals to management and customers and to report percentages that may be lock in on LTA, S/S, New updated quotes, and RFP 6. Knowledge of costing, procurement processes, PPAPs, GD&T, different type of materials & commodities like stampings, castings, fasteners, bearings etc. in manufacturing industry. 7. Collaboration with Global Commodity Managers, Eaton Global plants and Global suppliers to achieve cost competitive purchasing within stipulated time line, with good quality. 8. Preparation and maintenance of monthly MIS dashboards/reports for leadership team, Category Manager and stakeholders 9. Strong knowledge of ERP and input confirmations from suppliers into ERP 10. Know how to utilizes and apply project management tools and techniques for procurement applications 11. Strong Data Management & Analytical Skills required 12. Hands on Experience on Supplier Spend Relationship ManagementQualifications

  • Bachelors in Engineering /MBA (Operations/SCM)
  • Masters with 2-4 years / Bachelors with 3-5 years of experience in SCM processes , relevent working experience in Ariba and other procurement tools
  • Strong Knowledge in MS Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Need to have working Knowledge of any ERP, preferable SAP & SAP Ariba
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills to work with Global, regional & local management teams across the globe, Quick response time.
