Job Description

"Role and Responsibilities: Operations Management: Studies the sales order to understand machine scope for Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation (as applicable to the engineering companies) Creates a monthly production schedule in adherence with the set budget and accordingly plans out the resource allocation Prepares weekly, monthly production reports capturing actual data against set targets and suggests ways of minimizing deviations and enhancing production in consultation with cross-functional teams to the level above; Conducts root cause analysis and CAPA on major deviations in consultation with the level above With the help of technicians and supervisors carry out following activities 1. Verify Bill of material required for panel/panel wiring/Machine wiring 2. Mounting of components to control panels and enclosures 3. Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards 4. Point to point wiring of relays, controls, PLCs, I/O Modules, VFDs, Interfaces, & Instrumentation 5. Carry out machine wirings from instruments / Motors/ VFD up to control panel 6. Carry out control panel testing to ensure proper operation 7. Troubleshoot panels as needed to eliminate wiring errors and component malfunctions 8. Maintain red line drawing mark-ups of changes required during fabrication Carries out testing on machines to validate functionality of all its components (as applicable to engineering companies) and provides inputs on product performance to the responsible internal team Support to FATs for all customers with cross-functional co-ordination (as applicable to engineering companies) Provides support to other departments (such as services) in case of electronics or mechanical related issues Monitors OTD and suggests process improvements to strengthen operational efficiency Team Management Manages a team of shift-in-charge/ supervisors , ACG and Contract technicians, ensuring complete adherence to SOPs and protocols within the plant Addresses shop floor conflicts and other industrial relations issues, escalating critical ones to the level above Provides required training to all manufacturing employees on the shop floor and drives their overall development Drives implementation of safety guidelines and standards on the shop floor Required Candidate profileBachelors in engineering (preferably Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation)10-15 years of experience in Automation, electrical and Pnumatic panel manufacturing of MachinesPreferably in Pharma machinesKey Competencies Required: Key Competencies Required:Technical: Strong technical knowledge of Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation components like PLC and PLC hardware, IO cards, MCBs, Relays, motors and VFDs,Knowledge of troubleshooting of machine and panel wiring Expert understanding of:a) The production process related with specific area of manufacturing / assembly / Supply chain management & Inventory control (e.g. Automation, Electrical and Instrumentation.)b) Overall product value chainc) Guidelines pertaining to the Pharma industry that can impact own production area Moderate level of knowledge of regulatory specific requirements that impact the product portfolio.Moderate level of knowledge of regulatory specific requirements that impact the product portfolio.Is able to apply this knowledge to provide technical inputs on relatively complex issues related with own area of manufacturing ,assembly Strong planning skills with respect to driving optimal resource utilization at the shop floor Knowledge of different electrical standard like ATEX , IEC,NEMA Managerial:Analytical- Problem SolvingAbility to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management.Process orientedCross-Functional Team WorkingQuality & Service OrientationDelivering Consistent ResultsThe ability to meet deadlines under pressure ,"
