Job Description

Position Automation ArchitectExperience 9-12yearsLocation : PuneJDThe position of Test Automation Architect will have the following responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert in the automated testing areas
  • Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, right-fit test automation approach, tools and framework across project teams
  • Participate in Design and Architectural reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams
  • Oversee technological execution of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to implement test automation across project teams
  • Work closely with business in identifying solution requirements and key case-studies/scenarios for the future solution
  • Participate in the full cycle of pre-sales activities: direct communications with potential customers, RFP processing, development of proposals for implementation and design of the solution, presentation of the proposed solution to a customer, participation in meetings with customer representatives
Skills/Experience:
  • Deep practical experience with cutting edge Automation tools for Web, Mobile, Desktop, DB and Web-service testing
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging one or more of the: UFT, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Protractor
  • Advanced experience on one or more programming languages: C#, JavaScript, Java, Groovy, Python, Ruby
  • Advanced experience on API Test Automation: SOAP UI, REST Assured, Karate
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on current experience authoring, building and adopting large scale, cross-functional automation frameworks with well-balanced coverage across UI, back-end integration, database levels
  • Hands-on experience specifying, establishing and managing test environments and test data for functional automation projects
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD process and instrument full SDLC automation, specifically cloud testing execution, Test Management tools such as ALM, Jira
  • 3+ years working as Test Automation Architect (or similar), including proven experience of designing and implementing Automation Testing frameworks and methodology to support agile product development
  • 5+ years working as Automation Engineer leveraging test automation solutions of functional of web, windows, mobile based applications and relational databases
  • Ongoing knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
  • Strong Oral and Written skills
