Software V & V Test Engineer Roles & Responsibilities CyberSecurityPurpose as a Software V & V Test Engineer, you are an active member of the verification & validation department s team. You work closely with product development teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, develop & conduct test scripts, test cases according to ASPICE/ISO 26262 methodology & standardsTake part in various development and formal testing phases in the software development life cycleKnowledge of software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, white box testing, black box testing)Write software testing reports and documentation for faults as they ariseConduct all Software Integration Test, Qualification Test and regression testing,Participate in the review of work provided by all members of the teamPerform a technology watch to stay up to date on new tools and testing strategiesEnsure test cases are created/revised for the requirements called out in the current release plan.Metrics updated after test periodSupport and align cross-functional teams in development and system engineering, root cause analysisInstrument and Test applicationsReview/Record any test environment configuration changesCoordinate/notify all schedule changes with all impacted partiesCoordinate test resourcesEnter all noteworthy information into program test log. (i.e. bench problems, hardware)Bachelor s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplineEssential: Minimum five (5+) years of relevant experience with embedded software testingEssential: Knowledge of software validation tools e.g.: Polarion, Matlab Tool SetEssential: Knowledge of Simulink TestEssential: Knowledge of embedded systems PILEssential: Knowledge of embedded C/C++ systemsEssential: Knowledge of Python scripting and Linux command line operationsNice to have: Knowledge of OpenSSL or other security librariesKnowledge of development life cycles in V & V ASPICEKnowledge of ISO 26262 standard (an asset)Knowledge of automotive communication bus systems and protocols (i.e. CAN, UDS, J1939)Knowledge of how to use and purpose of tools within V& V strategy listed below:a.
