Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team of engineers to work on products and infrastructure with high-level directions from VP Engineering/CTO.
  • Mentors/coaches engineers to facilitate their development and provide technical leadership to them.
  • Contribute to the codebase as well as do code review and provide tech guidance to our engineers.
  • Manage individual and team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Comfortable with taking end to end ownership of high impact projects/initiatives

Experience: 6+ years of industry expertise with atleast 2-3 years of backend engineering & architecture experience. Experience as a tech lead or architect is a must.

Qualifications :

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Experience architecting, building, and maintaining backend systems. Designing and building cloud-native scale-out and distributed applications that leverage micro-services, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL data stores
  • Sr. level proficiency in atleast 1-2 languages / stacks: Node.js, JavaScript, Python, RoR NoSQL/SQL etc.
  • Experience working with AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Experience with data engineering & cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Apache Kafka, Ignite, Spark, Redshift, Hive, Postgres etc.
  • Familiarity with configuration/deployment tools such as Ansible, Chef and Terraform/CloudFormation
  • Experience with developing and managing ETL pipelines. Dealing with data in multi-tenant, horizontally scalable platforms.
