Job Description

  • Own and manage the requirements of the project. Ensure that they are accurate and consistent.
  • Participate in project activities like planning and estimating
  • Ensure that requirements are defined and implemented in a cost-effective way; try to reduce enhancement and gold-plating rather than encourage it.
  • Try to find ways to reduce and simplify the requirements backlog.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the product, its environment, and market.
  • Conduct timely reviews/testing of the functionality developed and provide feedback before it reaches the Product Manager/other stakeholders
  • Develop a close and strong daily relationship with the Product Manager
  • Ensure sign-off of requirements by the Product Manager is achieved and recorded.
  • Clearly record and document any change to the backlog and requirements, in an auditable way.
  • Ensure that analysis is done and signed off in accordance with the plan for the project. When this is not possible raise the alarm enough in advance that the situation can be managed.
  • Ensure On-time delivery in Sprint

    • Educated to Degree Level in an IT or related discipline
    • Professional Business Analysis Qualification such as ISEB/CBAP
    • Use of User Stories and experience as a Product Owner
    • Experience working in an Agile way preferably within a DSDM Atern/Scrum/Kanban environment
    • Previous use of UML including Use Cases
    • Process Modeling preferably using BPMN
    • Experience working with mixed on and offshore teams
    • Experience of education management systems or exposure to the education sector
    • Knowledge and application of Usability heuristics and UX analysis techniques
    • Experience performing feasibility analysis and contributing to the development of business casesExperience:
      • 2-4 years experience as a Business Analyst
      • Proven problem solving and analysis skills in software development and/or delivery environment.
      • Proven negotiation skills working above and below and outside of own role (managers, peers, reports)
      • Excellent communication skills and a demonstrable ability to communicate with customers, users, internal and external management at all levels of the businessAcademic:Bachelors in Computer Science (or related field)Masters of Business Administration (any field)
