• Support management of Risk & Control relating to Barclays Policies, Standards and Key Controls across Security and Technology
• Transform Advisory and Oversight activities (i.e. Control Issues, Risk Events and Risk mitigation) into opportunities for simplification of Controls and Key Risk Indicators, ensuring compliance with Barclays Control Framework
• Support the development of self-service tools and dashboards to enable proactive business decision making around Key Controls Metrics such as Controls Issues, Risk Events, Key Risk Indicators and Controls Maturity Assessment
• Understand, evaluate and translate requirements into Controls automation and simplification use-cases. Design and develop scalable and configurable solutions
• Support the lead with Governance and Framework for Chief Controls Office - Automation and Simplification Centre of Enablement
• Drive the Automation and Simplification agenda independently/with minimal support across multiple fora
• Assist with data sourcing, cleaning and preparation for identified automation and simplification opportunities
• Develop and apply data science techniques to identify trends and potential issues by looking across datasets from many different businesses
• Support the presentation of data science techniques/technologies, capabilities involving automation and simplification use-cases in different forums
• Development of SharePoint sites and content in support of data reporting

What we re looking for

• Experience in 1st, 2nd or 3rd line controls functions (i.e. Controls Testing Team, Operational Risk and Control, Audit, Assurance)
• Good understanding of Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Controls Framework, Technology and Security standards, Control objectives and Key Controls Metrics
• Practical experience working with SQL and relational databases
• Experience of complex data analysis and creating proposals, providing recommendations on the back of analysis
• Good understanding of applications and platforms specific to Controls function, such as ORAC
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude to pick up skills on new tools if required

Skills that will help you in the role

• Experience working in Risk & Controls function and ability to apply the skill in the technology risk management
• Proven ability to quickly learn emerging data analytics technologies and use them on the job to simplify technology controls and related processes
• Proven ability of working through challenging problems, and supporting to research solutions
• Experience with extracting, preparing, munging, validating data for Data Analytics use-cases
