Job Description

Chief Data Architect (m/w), Global (BHS-Corrugated)Division:D&L/IT/RDEWorking hours:Full timeType of employment:Permanent positionWhat to expect:For those who love and live an End-to-End process thinking, we offer you a life time opportunity to implement your visions at BHS. In the role of BHS Chief Data Architect you work across Business Units, IT, R&D and other departments to ensure a holistic, customer oriented view on the data value creation. You will ensure an overall data governance to empower our vision of the boxplant 2025. In a global environment you work with start-ups, smaller and bigger BHS-Group companies to implement a future data strategy.

  • You will be responsible for the data consistency and interfaces of data creation, data analytics and data enrichments
  • You combine your know how of turning data into customer value with an IT architecture to model the data flow and storages
  • In addition, your area of responsibility includes the consolidation of the business- and internal and external client requirements and integrate them in a consistent and verifiable system design.
  • You collaborate with machine- and app developers to enable the BHS industry 4.0
  • You will be the one to answer the questions: Which data is generated where and when, where to store these data for how long and how to generate value from it.
Who are you:
  • You have successfully completed your university education in information technology, engineering, physics, communication/electrical engineering
  • In the meantime, you have collected several years of professional experience in modelling IT processes applying the methods of SysML or UML, functional decomposition, etc.)
  • In addition, you have comprehensive knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines: SaaS, Cloud application, SAP, PLM, security SysML/UML modeling and (software) architecture
  • Ideally, you have a systems-engineering certification
  • You have already proven expediently your project management abilities achieving results in cross functional teams across the globe.
  • Analytical thinking, self-confident manner and very good English knowledge round off your profile.
