Job Description

Cloud Systems Administrator

Evolent Health is seeking a security focused Cloud Systems Administrator to be a member of Evolent Health s IT Operations team. This position will play a crucial role in supporting the IT needs of our staff on a day to day basis. The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, work efficiently, and adapt quickly to the ever - changing priorities that come with supporting a large organization.

What You ll Be Doing:

  • Maintain Azure Cloud systems, Internal, and external Active Directory infrastructure
  • Work collaboratively on patching, endpoint, backup, email, and license administration
  • Support, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Azure Office 365
  • Design, run, and develop scripts to administer Azure, Microsoft Windows, and Office 365
  • Maintain documentation of system administration procedures, and architecture design
  • Provide Linux and Windows operating system server administration in a virtualized cloud based environment.
  • Recommend enhancements and escalate concerns to troubleshoot and remediate system issues
  • Review and influence evolving designs, architectures, standards, and methods for operating services and systems.
  • Work closely with the application team to support requirements and releases
  • Ensure version and change control procedure adherence

The Experience You ll Need (Required):

  • 3+ years of experience in large scale enterprise and/or hosted environment
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012 and Active Directory
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud infrastructure services in a corporate environment
  • Writing and modifying scripts (e.g.: JSON and PowerShell) for deploying cloud infrastructure
  • Experience using Nagios or other infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Experience with centralized patching best practices
  • Security focused

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Background in Healthcare
  • Prior experience in a customer - interfacing role
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot customer facing issues using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with collaborative team skills
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex issues
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot customer facing issues using appropriate monitoring and diagnostic tools
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to adapt in a fast pace and growing environment
