The commodities technology group provides application development support to Commodities business globally. This includes Trading, Sales, Marketing, Risk Management, Financial division and OperationsCommodities Simpliciti is strategic risk generation platform for desks, it provides EOD, intraday, real time risk and PAA and support business in market-making, exchange connectivity, market data feeds and data strategyDevelop and deploy solutions to meet FO desk requirements following an agile methodologyKey Responsibilities This key position will be responsible for providing the technology leadership for design, architecture, development and enhancing the Simpliciti UI application.Work directly with Peers, business analyst and traders to understand requirementsProvide leadership incorporating new technologies and drive innovationImplement industry best practices for coding, unit test, code review, source code managementPeople management to the team working on core projectsCommunicate well with business stakeholders and senior technology managementIntegrate with global development team to provide innovative solutions for system needsContribute towards improvement of development process with own experience and knowledgePartner with application support team to understand production issues, investigate root causes of failure and implement short and long term solutions to production problemsWork with product owners to understand desired application capabilities.Participate in designing and developing technology solutions.Encourage and demonstrate innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.Adapt and apply technology development standards and protocols, *Key Relationships Desk TradersCore Simpliciti teamQuants & AnalyticsRisk ManagementFinance/Product ControlSupportKnowledge/Experience Extensive experience in Windows and Web based UI applications (using WPF, HTML5, React/Angular) software development and supportExperience developing front-ends to support low-latency, scalable and real-time trading risk platformsExperience working in multiple location agile environment with focus on test driven developmentDesire to learn and implement industry best practicesEssential skills Exceptional knowledge of .Net, C# and WPFHands-on experience with C#, WPF, XAML and other .Net framework based technologiesExperience with SQL and mongo databasesExperience working with industry devops tools like jira, git, teamcity, udeploy, artifactory etc.Ability to operate independently with global teams, and effective engagement with traders, quants and supportGood understanding of FX, Markets, Commodity trading a big plusAbility to work in agile and fast paced environmentStrong analytical and problem solvingGood oral and written communication skillsDesirable Skills Strong knowledge in Asp.Net, Javascript, HTML5, CSSExperience and Knowledge in designing REST API using Asp.NetExperience working with middleware technologies like Tibco for messaging and communication between application componentsExperience with automated build and release managementInvestment banking experienceCommodity, interest-rate derivative or fixed income experienceDevelopment Value The candidate will have opportunity to expand and/or enhance financial derivatives knowledge and physical product knowledge front to back in global Commodities sectorThe candidate will have exposure to the latest cutting edge technology stack and have the opportunity to work within an innovative team to implement modern and best-practice software techniquesQualifications Relevant education to degree level or relevant practical experience
