Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Translate test descriptions using Python that can run in an automated environment
  • Translate business requirement using Gherkin (BDD)
  • Develop, optimize and lead the Python based Test Automation processes, workflows and coordinate among team members with writing Master Test Plan, Test Plan, Test Cases following Agile practices
  • Take ownership for the complete framework, test plan, test cases and its execution along with the team
  • You will be a hands-on and techy person as well as lead the agile team by playing an additional role as a Scrum Master
  • Proactively ensure the functional / business logic related test cases pass during nightly build by working with team
  • Specify, design, and implement core functional (business logic), integration and regression tests of our legacy and new compressed air products
  • Contribute to and improve the automated test platform using PyCharm, PyTest,.
  • Closely interact with the software developers, the DevOps team and the service team (operations)
  • Very good at logical lateral thinking, generating ideas and helping troubled projects or teams from technical standpoint
  • Able to support team and ensure First Time Right delivery, being a key team player and owner of the framework
Desired Candidate Profile
  • You have a Computer engineering qualification (B.E or B.Tech or MTech) from a reputed university
  • You have overall 9+ years of working experience as Senior Test Automation or Senior Python Developer in a DevOps environment
  • You have a solid experience of minimum 6 years working purely as PYTHON Developer and built automation framework from scratch
  • You must possess ISTQB Certification
  • You have 3-5 years of experience working on Linux and Open source systems and the command line including Bash/Make scripts
  • You have working experience using ReactJs, NodeJs and Javascripts based applications
  • You have working experience using Jenkins, Docker, BitBucket, Chef, GIT, Artifactory,
  • You are familiar and acquainted using Atlassian tools e.g. JIRA
  • You have worked following SCRUM / AGILE methodologies within DevOps environment for past 3+ years
  • You have worked on various industrial control protocols and algorithms using CAN bus, Profi bus, Modbus, TCP/IP, Ethernet, etc.
  • Have an eye for details and ensure good documentation is prepared as part of delivery process following SDLC / STLC
  • You are passionate about embedded systems, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud based solutions, IoT, telemetric analysis,
