Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Site Execution: Supervise the on-site execution of construction activities, ensuring that the works are progressing according to the approved plans, designs, and specifications.
    • Project Submissions: Prepare and submit all necessary documentation and reports relating to the construction process in accordance with contractual obligations.
    • Cost and Margin Control: Manage the turnover, project margin, and control wastage while ensuring the project is executed in a cost-effective manner.
    • Productivity Optimization: Implement strategies to increase productivity and minimize material wastage, aligning with sustainability principles and environmental guidelines.
    • Safety and Quality Compliance: Be responsible for the on-site safety, quality, and environmental performance of the construction process. Ensure that all works are compliant with safety regulations and quality standards.
    • Budget and Progress Monitoring: Monitor the construction productivity and spending, ensuring adherence to the project budget and timelines.
    • Technical and Construction Changes: Recognize and document any technical or construction-related changes on-site, ensuring that such changes are communicated and approved as per the contract.
    • Collaboration with HSE & Quality Teams: Work closely with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) teams, as well as the quality control team, to continuously monitor and enhance safety, quality, and environmental performance.
    • Planning Coordination: Liaise with the planning team to monitor the progress of the construction activities and make adjustments as necessary to meet project milestones.
    • Workforce Development: Establish and develop the required skill levels within the workforce, ensuring that all team members are trained and qualified for the tasks at hand.
    • Communication: Foster clear communication regarding construction issues, challenges, and progress among the project team.
    • Methodology Review: Review and refine construction methodologies with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing productivity.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the execution of the project and take proactive measures to mitigate them, ensuring the smooth flow of the construction process.
    • Compliance with Standards: Ensure all construction activities comply with company standards, including safety protocols, environmental practices, and sustainability measures.
    Desired Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple aspects of construction projects simultaneously, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Expertise in safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
    • Problem-solving ability with a focus on risk management and mitigation.
    • Familiarity with construction project management software.
    Qualifications:
    • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications in Project Management or Construction Safety (e.g., PMP, NEBOSH, OSHA) are an advantage.
    • At least 5 to 12 years of experience in managing construction sites, with a focus on large-scale projects.
    Preferred Candidate Profile:
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills to manage both the site team and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to develop and implement construction methodologies that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and waste minimization strategies.
    • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with various departments like HSE, planning, and quality control.
