Job Description

The database Developer is responsible for developing database code either in PostgreSQL, Oracle or SQL Server based on business requirement and should closely work with application & database team.Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain database code in the form of stored procedures, scripts, queries, views, triggers, etc
  • Work closely with the DBAs to implement effective and maintainable database coding practices that form an architectural foundation.
  • Work with Project managers to ensure database code meets requirements.
  • Prepare the effort estimation plans.
  • Work with front end developers to define simple and powerful APIs.
Essential Skills
  • Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  • Must have good knowledge about database architecture and design
  • Owning all the database production and non-production implementation to ensure performance, stability, and scalability
  • Review the existing Process implementation and propose/implement improvements
  • Must have hands on experience, either in SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Must have good understanding on execution plan and query optimizations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to writing Shell/batch script will be great!
  • Sound Knowledge of taking database backups, migrations from Oracle/SQL Server to PostgreSQL.
  • Good understanding of Oracle or SQL Server Database from development perspective.
  • Must have good knowledge about cross-db migrations.
