Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Product Developer that will drive our API-first approach and ensure widespread adoption. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for discovery and documentation of product and technical developments. Innovating, collaborating, and putting the client at the forefront is of utmost importance in this role. Responsibilities: API Designer: By taking an API-first approach, we ensure that our API has the intended impact - consumers of our data. The candidate for this role will work with these consumers (internal, clients, and third-party relationships) by researching and interviewing to determine business requirements and then translate them into actionable development. Major Duties Include:
    • Define functional and non-functional requirements of our APIs.
    • Collaborate with the team to standardize an API Style Guide, and ensure they are consistently applying this and best practices.
    • Catalog and rationalize existing APIs, by ensuring sprawl and complexity are managed, and consistency and better quality in design.
    • Create requirements and provide mockup of content found in new APIs, and work with the Product Manager on prioritizing the backlog.
    • Assist in change management activities, including roll out of new APIs, and modification to existing APIs.
    • Work to create a robust testing strategy across our APIs
    • Support API integrations that may be needed to build with third party relationships
    • Determine the service model and key service level agreements.
    • Respond to RFP and client questions about content, structure, as well as security.
    • Work to drive ultimate utilization, faster adoption, and higher proficiency. This includes functionality for measuring use and analytics.
    Digital Learning Writer: As we seek to gain the hearts and minds of our clients, Digital Learning Experiences are key to this. Working alongside Product and Client Servicing, this person will set the vision and execute on short-, medium-, and long-term milestones at delivering online content that supports our clients in the adoption of our applications. Major Duties include: API Store/Documentation:
    • Determine the tool set to document and expose our APIs for use by the various consumers of our data (clients and internal).
    • Manage a system that provides API documentation, including code samples, interactive try-it , use cases, authentication, definition, and other resources.
    • Create content that is easy to understand, navigate, complete, and promotes its use.
    • Maintain this API documentation as it evolves and expands.
    Knowledge Base: Stand up and run online knowledge base solution that allows our customers to be more successful.
    • This will include creating content surrounding: Getting started, FAQs, How-To-Guides, Glossary, Disclaimers, Troubleshooting, etc.
    • Utilize written, images, and videos to provide this content
    Knowledge / Experience:
    • Strong understanding of institutional investment industry.
    • Prior experience with multi-asset class portfolio management software.
    • Solid knowledge of technical concepts (messaging standards, developer terminology, architecture principles, security, etc.)
    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of demonstrated related professional experience
    • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle time sensitive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make effective decisions under pressure
    • Proactively take on projects with minimal supervision and high aptitude and willingness to learn.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills and assist in managing stakeholders competing needs
    • Product and technical expertise, with a solid understanding of software development principles and Agile development methodologies.
    • Define critical success factors and constantly measure/evaluate to improve business outcomes.
    • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • Excellent verbal and written skills.
