The result is faster development times, better customer experiences, higher ROI, and greater agility.Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, SQL Server DBA The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skillsResponsibilities

  • Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
  • Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
Essential Skills
  • SQL DBA experience in Database Administration in SQL Server (2012, 2014 and 2016).
  • Good understanding of SQL Server Internals.
  • Strong Knowledge of SQL Database Installation, migrations, patching and Up-gradations.
  • SQL database activities like Database Creation, user management.
  • Implementing data backup and recovery strategies.
  • Monitoring SQL Server Logs.
  • Database Audit Setup.
  • Database Job Monitoring Alert Setup.
  • Database Maintenance activity.
  • Expertise in High availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts (Database Mirroring, Log Shipping and SQL Server Clustering) implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tool.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, connectivity issues, security issues, CPU utilization, server memory, disk I/O, disk space.
  • Strong knowledge of recovery models, database shrink operations, DBCC commands.
  • Preparing the Technical Documents on relevant topics.
  • Positive & passionate to explore emerging technologies day by day.
  • Good verbal and written communication skill.
Preferred Skills
  • SQL Azure and AWS hands on knowledge from database perspective.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL DBA will be added advantage.
  • Great to have knowledge of Solar wind DPA tool.
