Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.Introduction: The hiring team are responsible for building the strategic R&A Wholesale Credit Risk platform used for internal risk management and regulatory reporting across Barclays International. The team is focusing on a commitment within Project Eagle to submit credit PD and LGD models to the regulator in Q4 17 and Q1 18.The successful candidate will be a development team member within the Project Eagle grading agile team, participating in all aspects of the development process, including regular interaction with Product owner, user story analysis, technical design, implementation, code-reviews, testing, production deployment, and support.This is a challenging role to be part of a team designing and delivering credit models in a new strategic platform. The successful candidate is rewarded with the opportunity to take ownership of end to end business delivery, and to shape a next generation Wholesale credit model platform.What will you be doing o Key specific accountabilities. o To manage and co-ordinate testing across multiple teams. o Hands on experience in stakeholder management is a must. o Need experience in maintaining and managing data for reporting. o Hands on experience in downstream and upstream team management is a must. o Excellent Communication and multiple team co-ordination skill is a mandate. o Experience in Test automation is required along with multiple team co-ordination skills. o To develop and review test code and contribute to creation of testing strategies to validate large-scale software development and deployments. o Developing Test artefacts like Test Strategy, Exit Document, Test Cases, etc and performing manual testing where ever required. o Pair/Partner with developers to embed quality into product development by reviewing unit and integration tests. o Contribute to development of automation strategies and implement the same for right ratio of unit, API and GUI tests o Creation/Automation of test data and test harnesses o Good understanding of banking domain and Testing principles in various delivery models (Agile) o Analysis design and implementation of test solutions to fit the business requirements o Is capable of effective stakeholder management, supporting business for making informed decisions based on test results, possess good analytical skills o Working with BAs and Team Leads to understand the functional scope of project work, questioning decisions and collaborating with end-users to ensure that business needs are met on a timely basis. o Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off. o Implement and test technical solutions from specifications to both new and existing systems. o Involvement in peer reviews with more senior team members in order to provide constructive feedback o Liaising with a delivery team to provide support during SIT, QA and UAT test phases o Perform regression testing. o Following established process and practices with regards to audit controls. o Providing on-call support for releases.What we re looking for: o A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred. o IB experience advantageous but not a pre-requisite.Skills that will help you in the role : Technicalo 6+ years of relevant experience in handling End to end Testing with multiple down and up streams. o Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams o Knowledge of testing terminologies, processes and tools o Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains o Participate in tasks at org level like training/social activities to promote BTS/Barclays culture o Should have excellent conflict management skills and generate trust and respect in team o Good at art of questioning and critical thinking o Hands on experience on writing Code / Automated Tests, understand overall automation framework and contribute to framework building/ maintenance o Demonstrated expertise in Object Oriented Programming and demonstrate proficiencies in Java, HTML, CSS o Hands on experience in Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS package creation, Teradata and ETL/DB Testing. o Hands on experience in Quality function including execution of manual and automated tests o Contribute towards creating Test Plan/ Test Strategy/ Schedule with TM o Monitor team progress on test plan. Monitor daily tasks and report on them o Communicate with stakeholders on project status and metrics o Assist TM in operational tasks of managing a team o Experience in running a project through STLC with a team o Identify project risks and work towards mitigating them. o Escalate where appropriate to the LM or the PM o Provide guidance to other team members on technology/domain/application queries o Strong technical background with detail driven and excellent problem solving abilities o Good product and testing acumen o Expertise in test automation (functional and unit/integration level - tools like junit, TestNG, Webdriver, SOAPUI, Parasoft, Selenium, Cucumber etc.) o Proven track record for agile, test-driven development, behavior driven development, continuous integration, and automated testing,
