Job Description

Position Summary (Design & Implementation Engineer)Key Objective / Purpose of Job: Design Engineer (SME/Shift Lead/Quality Lead)Major Activities:

  • Adhere with the committed Lead time for activation and Deactivation Requests checking all the prerequisites.
  • Design and Implementation of optimum Routing plan.
  • Multiple Technologies: Transport, IP Data, Broadband, GPON Track, coordinate and report with the functional teams
  • Build Network Equipment in Circuit Vision
  • Align NetCracker Summary with Circuit Vision
  • Build Facilities as per Design in the NMS
  • Configuring the transport facility in NMS for DS1, DS3, STM1, GE1, and GE10.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Degree in Electronics, Communications.
Requisite Skills:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge on Transmission (DWDM, SDH & SONET), Fiber Optic Systems
  • Good Knowledge of Transmission Equipment like Alcatel, JDSU, Ciena etc.
  • Good Knowledge on IP Domain.
  • NMS/EMS Knowledge.Technical
  • Through understanding of Transmission network protection standard like MSP, SNCP, and GMPLS etc.
  • Wireline and Wireless Telecom service provider Experience
  • Experience on EMS/NMS of mostly all optical communication vendors,
  • Working experience on SDH/SONET or DWDM Muxes
  • Hands on Tools Like Circuit Vision, NetCracker, TRACE
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Database fundamentals.Functional:
  • Ability to analyze and design software requirement to meet customer requirement
  • Very strong sense of teamwork and ability to work with a team.
  • Good knowledge of system documentation techniquesBehavioral:

  • Minimum 4-5 years experience on Network Designing & Implementation

Regularly participates in important projects or activities as a full contributing team member, is able to proactively identify important issues or risks, seeks the appropriate level of guidance and advice to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. Operational role which is responsible for delivering results that have direct impact on the achievement of results within Telecom Network Operations and Maintenance. Works under direct supervision. Able to identify problems and provide inputs to improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques drawing from personal experiences and feedback. Actively acquires more complex skills, techniques, operating practices, knowledge of abstract concepts in order to progress toward full proficiency in the field of specialisation. Has skills and knowledge that will allow them to adapt to effectively deal with unfamiliar issues, challenges, problems within their field of specialisation.
