Job Description

    Key Skills: Must have: Snowflake, dbt, SQLPreferable to have: AWS, PythonGood to have: TableauLocation: Offshore (India)Experience Required: 3 to 8 yearsAvailability: Should be able to join within a month.Job Type: C2CWe are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with experience in dbt to join our team based in India. The primary focus of this role (90%) will be building and optimizing data pipelines in Snowflake using dbt, with additional involvement in Tableau (10%) for data visualization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Snowflakes advanced features and a solid understanding of data models and SQL. Python and AWS knowledge are preferable but not mandatory.Key Responsibilities:
    • Design, develop, and optimize data models and data pipelines in Snowflake, using features such as Snowpark, tasks, streams, stored procedures, dynamic tables, and table/view creation.
    • Build and maintain dbt models to load and transform data into Snowflake.
    • Collaborate with data analysts and business teams to ensure Snowflake models are aligned with reporting requirements.
    • Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support ETL/ELT processes in Snowflake.
    • Develop, monitor, and maintain data pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient data flow.
    • Utilize Python (if applicable) for automating and enhancing ETL processes.
    • Occasionally support Tableau dashboard creation and data visualization efforts (10% of the role).
    • Use AWS services for data storage and Snowflake integration (preferred but not mandatory).
    Required Skills & Experience:
    • 3 to 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with hands-on expertise in Snowflake including Snowpark, tasks, streams, stored procedures, and dynamic tables.
    • Strong knowledge of dbt (data build tool), including model creation, and integration with Snowflake.
    • Strong SQL skills for writing and optimizing queries to manage and manipulate large datasets.
    • Python knowledge is preferable for automating and scripting data workflows.
    • Experience with Tableau for data visualization (preferred but not mandatory).
    • Familiarity with AWS services (preferred but not mandatory).
