Job Description

• Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining all the applications within the areas of Financial accounting, GL/SL, P/L, Firm Business Hierarchy, Liquidity and Treasury, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Basel, CCAR, Compliance, IT Risk. Risk is a cross product, cross domain and top of the house subject
• The current role an opportunity to implement build a big data platform around this data set for validation, cross referencing, orchestration, consumption by analytical/accounting engines as well reporting at different granularities
• ETS are currently 100+ strong development team at Chennai and are building teams in Enterprise Platform development using Big Data ecosystem. GENESIS is a global platform for contracts, positions and accounts for Citigroup to support Global Functions of Compliance, Risk & Finance. It is supported by the Enterprise Technology Solutions within Global Functions Technology Services Organization. GENESIS provides the strategic infrastructure for Institutional Clients Group, Citi Commercial Bank, Consumer Bank and Investment Products, Treasury and Enterprise Risk Management

Job Purpose:

• The purpose of the job is to design, develop, enhance enterprise platforms in Finance and Risk Technology area using Big Data technologies and migrate the set from legacy platforms, platform engineering for select business segments

Key Responsibilities:

• Interacting with Business analysts to understand the requirements behind BRDs/FRDs/SRs
• Complete understanding of application code through code compilation, code walkthrough, execution flow, overall design
• Local compilation, deployment and behaviour/Unit testing
• Identifying the areas where code needs to change for meeting the required functionalities and maintain traceability
• Participate in design review/code review meetings- local/global
• Unit testing, Integration testing, UAT/SIT support
• Code check in, check out, merge, build management as needed
• Reporting to the Program manager on project/task progress as needed. Identify risks & issues
• Participate in all project planning, progress & development meetings with the team & global managers

, Knowledge/Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of strong experience with recent experience in using Spark, Java, Python. Physical implementation of Big Data HDFS based solution for financial and/or risk functions. Proficient in Oracle RDBMS and knowledge on Mongo DB would be preferred.Strong knowledge in SQL, Hive etc.
• Domain knowledge in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management and/or Regulatory Reporting in the Banking industry. Familiar with standard SDLC and Agile processes. Cloudera certification (CCDH) is an added advantage. Knowledge of cloud computing and deployment strategies using virtual environments

Additional Skills:

• Past experience of Retail Products (Mortgages, Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Deposits) and functions (Loan Restructuring, Recovery, Collections, Loss Mitigation, Collateral, Charge Off, Carve out, Fraud). Domain knowledge in Accounting is a strong plus
• Ability to produce professional, technically-sound, and visually-appealing presentations and graphics
• Strong writing, communication, time-management, decision-making, and basic task organization skills
• Experience creating high level technical/process documentation and presentations for audiences at various levels. Experience writing/editing technical, business, and process documentation in an IT/Engineering environment

Qualifications:

• B.Tech from a top engineering college, University, preferably in computer science. Other preferred branches are EE, ECE. Candidates with passion for coding and systems development from other disciplines also can apply. Work experience in a product company is an added advantage
