We are building an expert team to transform the working environment of the 30,000 people who make up the ICG development community and help them dramatically change their approach to developing software across the many different technologies we support. The Developer Engineering group has a challenging remit, but with the scale and variety comes a unique opportunity to be agents of cultural and technical change who significantly impact the bank.About the TeamThe Measurement, Optimisation, Recognition, and Engagement team is responsible for measuring Technical Achievement and DevOps Outcomes across ICG Technology and helping to foster a collaborative, open culture amongst our developer communities.The team identifies, develops, and maintains automated measurement of Productivity Metrics, DevOps Capabilities, and Technical Recognition items which application teams can use to recognise their peers, discover and adopt new methods and contribute solutions for use by the wider organisation. The team is also responsible for working with the other Developer Engineering streams to ensure capabilities are implemented within infrastructure, taught in training courses and advertised and discussed across the developer community.About the RoleThe measurement action stream has three broad goals: to measure the progress of the department towards its outcomes; to establish meaningful measures that development teams leverage; and finally to reinforce positive behaviors via the influence of measurement. The team requires practitioners who are not only skilled in data science, but ones who intimately understand the development process and can also contribute to the wider initiatives cultural goals.The successful candidate will collaborate with the team to imagine, design, develop, test, and automate big data solutions. Your job will write systems to process large amounts of data from multiple sources and make it accessible, meaningful and actionable both for direct use by development teams and for senior management consumption. This team is a key strategic function and will take part in wider departmental initiatives.Job Description
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning software to analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured data;
• Contributes as part of an expert team of software engineers/data scientists
• Responsible for systems that gather and process data/measures/reports
• Building a back-end infrastructure to gather and move metrics from core systems into the Measurement engine
• Drives adoption of measures and metrics by development teams
• Improves data quality across the entire estate
• Evolves measurement through continuous improvement
• Ensures measures are useful to development teams
• Derives measures for senior management consumption from these
• Implements solutions for reporting issues with broad impact
• Use statistics and machine learning techniques to develop algorithms to extract information from data; Test and enhance algorithms to measure the accuracy of software
• Analysis and documentation of data from variety of sources and formats
• Developing mappings and code for integration of data sets from disparate domains
• Quality assurance and testing of analytical routines and data frameworks
• Remain up to date on industry research and new techniques in machine learning

Requirements
• Able to understand Various data structures and common method in data transformation
• Excellent Pattern recognition and data mining
• Able create and maintain data Lineage
• Strong background in Algorithms, Data Structures, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Big Data.
• Extensive hand-coding expertise in programming languages such as Python, Spark, Scala
• Experience in building and managing REST APIs.
• Experience in systems integration, web services, batch processing
• Experience with distributed systems such as Hadoop/MapReduce, Spark, streaming data processing, cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (like scikit-learn, SparkML,
• Experience with Agile SDLC methods
