Location: Pune Job Overview We are looking for a motivated individual with Microsoft SQL Server experience to complement the application development team in the maintenance and development of existing and new Microsoft SQL Server based applications. Required skills: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field. Must be able to speak the language of the business. Expert in SQL programming (stored procedures , triggers and other objects) , SSIS Experienced with database concepts and databases such as SQL SERVER 2008 and upward Worked in Data Warehousing , Data Modeling ; Database Tuning / optimization and Monitoring Strong understanding of database design , troubleshooting , and management. Experienced in handling production support responsibilities , improving the support activities using automation tools where ever applicable. Expert knowledge in software development methodologies and frameworks Understanding of HTTP / S and Windows / Web - based application architecture Proven capabilities in delivering business value with great efficiency. Excellent interpersonal , written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal team members as well as business stakeholders. Strong problem solving characteristics with the ability to think out of the box. 4 years of hands on experience working in collaborative team environment. Desired Skills: SSRS knowledge would be a big plus Any knowledge / Experience with CI / CD , DB versioning tools would be good to have. Familiarity with VB scripting would be a plus Similarly ability to read / understand code written in C# (or any other OO language) would be a plus. Familiarity with Health Care Management or Health Insurance business highly desirable. Some database administration experience is desirable but not necessary Responsibilities: Create complex analytic queries on large data sets Create stored procedures , triggers , and functions Analyze trends in key metrics Handle production support activities Generate code to extract , transform and load data from production data sources to the data warehouse Performance tuning of key queries. Creating / developing / maintaining reports as per business users needs Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes. Communicates and coordinates with Team Manager and business leadership to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across the enterprise. Recommends necessary changes to the existing applications to ensure efficient functioning , revenue generation , and cost savings. Identifies risks associated with tasks , projects , plans and implementations. Collaborates with other Tech leaders , enterprise architects and overall tech community to help shape up the next level tech capabilities,
