Job Description

You will be handling Production and Non production Oracle, Maria DB/ MY SQL DB Databases in 247 environment.You will be handling Goldengate installation Setup and configuration on Production and Non- production environments.You will be handling periodic production and non- production deployments and maintenances windows. You will support Amdocs in house developed tool for DB environment setup and configuration.You will be responsible to provide overall support and expertise on how best to leverage the Oracle DBMS and related tools and utilities for our development, test and production needs. You will be responsible to plan and manage all database aspects including installations, patches, You will be responsible for DB performance analysis, tuning recommendations.You will be responsible for Monitoring alerts and take corrective actions.You will be responsible for automating tasks using shell scripts, Perl, PL/ SQL.You will be responsible Backup and recovery.You will be involved in DevOps environment to help in CI/ CD automation & closely working with developers to design Pipeline creation for automatic DB refresh methodologies.You will be involved in Migration projects e.g migration of legacy Databases to Linux, Cloud.Technical Proficiency Requirement:

  • 4- 6 years of total work experience.
  • Should have proven knowledge & exposure to Oracle 11g & 12C DB administration.
  • Should have expertise on ASM, Grid and RAC.
  • Should have end to end knowledge on Goldengate activities (Setup, Configuration, Troubleshooting replication issues)
  • Should have proven knowledge & exposure to Maria DB, MYSQL, and Cassandra administration.
  • Should have knowledge on Node level replication of Maria DB/ MYSQL.
  • Should be able to handle setup and troubleshoot issues on DB objects - table partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views, indexes & DB links etc.
  • Should have advanced knowledge of materialized views and handling the issues with MViews.
  • Should have excellent hands- on experience on Data pump.
  • Good UNIX and PLSQL experience. Well aware of VI and UNIX commands using Perl/ sed/ awk.
  • Able to write good UNIX shell scripts / PL SQL scripts for automation purpose.
  • Proven knowledge of backup and recovery.
  • Should have good Performance Tuning knowledge, experience on query tuning.
  • Experienced on troubleshooting on Databases issues.
  • Should have excellent communication skills - Verbal and Written (Chat/ Bridge/ Calls).
  • Experience on handling tools like Remedy, JIRA.
  • Knowledge on Jenkins, GIT HUB and other DevOps tools will be added advantage. Behavioral skills:
