Pune, Maharashtra, 412220.Job title: Demand PlannerJob Summary:Recognize and manage customer demands for all products by effective Raw material demand planning. Utilize demand plans, consumption trend for ordering & coordination with sales and operations planning and supply planning. Interact with the marketing, sales organizations to facilitate the Raw Material planning process.Essential Functions:
    • Manage communication with production, sales and marketing to derive assumptions for the demand plan
    • Review new forecast, revise if needed, and approve for updating of S&OP grid
    • Review previous months forecast performance, consumption trend and identify root causes for data outside tolerance.
    • Develop demand plans for new products and/or new markets, based on new customer requirements.
    • Purchase materials in most cost effective manner to meet customer requirements.
    • Consider order quantities, logistics modes and other cost savings opportunities.
    • Build truckload STO deliveries to stocking points where possible based on material demand.
    • Review MRP data to identify inventory and delivery exceptions.
    • Define plan to resolve issues short term and long term.
    • Maintain MRP forecasts and item notes by establishing effective communications with commercial team.
    • Document assumptions and risks associated with new forecast
    • Track and manage overrides from management to demand forecast
    • Monitor the demand plan performance, providing detailed input to sales and marketing management for use in the demand consensus review and executive sales and operations planning meetings
    • Be the day-to-day point of contact for supply planning, RM procurement to manage change and balance supply and demand to achieve the optimal balance of customer responsiveness and production stability.
    • Drive ongoing improvements to improve the demand/RM planning process
    • Manage ongoing list of improvement opportunities and work with the operations leadership team to prioritize
Education and Experience
  • Bachelors in any Discipline.
  • Professional work experience more than 3 years for similar role.
  • Candidates who has worked for manufacturing company and managed a large number of RM s through SAP MRP is most preferred.
  • Candidates from Polymer, Pigments and chemical industry is preferred.
Additional QualificationsSAP - Strong competencies in MS-Office, Specially Excel - Macro Developments, SAP.Competencies
