Job Description

Deputy General Manager for Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering - Pune

  1. Lead the electrical and instrumentation engineeing team.
  2. Responsible for overall work efficiency of the team. Works constantly for- 1. reducing engineering errors ; improving quality of engineering submittals ; 3. completion of engineering activities per schedule.
  3. Standardisation of engineering activities, engineering documents etc. for improving engineering response time and accuracy of working.
  4. Standardisation of bought out items in electrical and instrumentation and their cost for ease of engineering and procurement.
  5. Preparation of project schedule for electrial and instrumentation activities for each project.
  6. Support to sales and estimation team for engineering and estimation of the project costs and submission of the tender documents etc. Join the sales team for resovling the client queries etc.
  7. Designing of PID control schematics for safe and hazardous area.
  8. Preparing engineering documents like cable schedule, control philosophy, IO list, Instrument schedule, Loop drawings, instrument hook up, etc.

  10. Designing and implementation of automation based control system for IR projects.
  11. Preparing detailed BOQ for instrument and electrical items in the project.
  12. Preparing enquiry specification for electrical motors, heater, control panels, starter panel, instruments, cables, cable trays etc.
  13. Share necessary inputs for releasing PRFs on time.
  14. Technically evaluating and approving for suppliers offer/BOQ/specifications for procurement of LT HT motor, instruments, PLC/control panels, starter panels, cables, heaters.
  15. Reviewing and approving supplier panel BOQ, selection of components.
  16. Supplier drawing checking & approving PLC based control panels, Instruments, LT HT motor, motor starter panels, etc.
  17. Selecting inline instruments, transmitters, gauges, switches, on off vlave and control valves for safe and hazardous areas.
  18. Cable & JB Engineering, cable, cable gland selection & BOQ generation.
  19. Checking and approval of three line and Single line diagram.
  20. Inputs for design, calculations & selection of MCC starter panel components to supplier. And review and approve it.
  21. Troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation problems during the comissioning and field operation.
  22. Providing technical support to SCM team for material procurement.
  23. HMI/SCADA screen design inputs to supplier and review and approve it.
  24. Perform FAT and SAT etc. for PLC, MCC, VFD panels etc.
  25. Onsite/Offsite commissioning support.
Bachelors in Electrical or Instrumentation engineering or related.,
