Job Description

  • Manage and supp ort database environment to allow normal operations and to detectand escalate exception conditions. Responsible for the deployment and operational management of database assets
  • Providin g L2 Support on ADBA application
  • Expert in below technologies
  • Check disk spaces, CPU load, RAM, Conne ctivity.
  • Oracle DB Performance Tuning, Query Explain Plan, Locks/Long running session analysis - Primary Sk ills
  • Monitor alleve nts that occur in the database environment to allow normal operations and to de tect and escalate exception conditions
  • Responsible for the deployment and operational management of databas e assets
  • Generate, configure , and optimize the performance of databases
  • Support the efforts of the test lead anddeployment lead to pla n, manage, and deploy the application
  • Operate and support the database environment
  • Update logical andphysical database designs with re quested or required changes including the CMDB
  • Document benchmarksand procedures needed to optimize perfor mance, and ensure that all guidelines in place for operations
  • Provide input on any design decisions for int erfacing or integrating databases operationally and for projects
  • Collaborate with the configuration manager to determine change control and impact analysis for the databases
  • Ensure the level of service capacity and availability matches or exceeds the current and future agreed needs of the bus iness
  • Plan the disaster reco very actionplan, remediation processes and execution activities
, Essential:
  • Knowledge of database design, implementation and operation s
  • Experience with structured query language (SQL)
  • Understandingo f distributed computing architectures and storage technologies
  • Robustsk ills in administering systems and configuration items are managed effectively- Skilled with integration of security methods and requirements
  • Experience managing databases and related infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experie nce in designing, implementing and maintaining database environments
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field / Advanced degree aplus
  • Relevant certification - Professional database administrationcertific ation, such as a Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional
Desired:
  • Good knowledge Shell-Scripting/Pearl
  • Good knowledge of SOX regulations
  • ITIL certification
