Job Description

DescriptionThe Data Analyst will support their functional area across Vodafone Business Platform Solutions (VBPS) and generate insights by supporting fact-based decision making using business data. This includes implementing and managing data elaboration flows with a view to provide KPIs, metrics, trends and visual (digital) storyboards using a variety of technologies and analytical techniques. Working with the operational teams to target areas of opportunity or improvement and maximise business value through combining web based analytics and data warehousing to enable profound insights. The role may require the importing, cleaning, transforming, validating or modelling of data with the purpose of understanding or making conclusions from the data for decision-making purposes. Typically reports to the Chapter Lead. #_VOISJob Responsibility

  • Performed installation and configuration of Database software, Listener, Patching and Database creation in development, staging and production environment
  • Responsible for Database design and implementation and alignment across multiple environments.
  • Responsible for database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
  • Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Perform general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
  • Maintain technical documentation of database environment
  • Provide ongoing support of production database environment, space projection and reclamation, query performance tuning of existing applications.
  • Developed some UNIX Shell scripts to automate database operation and database monitoring.
  • Experience monitoring Oracle RDBMS availability and operational support.
  • Install new versions of the Oracle RDBMS, its tools, and any other tools that access the Oracle database.
  • Perform tuning and debug queries, reports, triggers and stored procedures in SQL and PL/SQL.
