Job Description

The purpose of this role is to act as Network Engineer &provide network support in corporate IP infrastructure operation environment. To bean Interface with the Projects in integration /implementation / UAT-test /transition to IT Operations and to build/manage Technical Management Function (TMF), in coordination with other cross functional team/vendors/OEMs. He will beindividual contributor & represent IT Network to business during Network OperationDetailed Activities/Requirements: -

  • Accountable for operation IT infrastructure & manage TMS (technical management support) network function. As part of build, responsible for ensuring the newdemand, design for the project by following network engineering standards/architecture.
  • Must have worked on Network operation environment to maintain health ofoverall network and Support, coordinate & manage daily/regular activity calendar/audit, Vendor coordination to verify service availability and SLAs of WAN Networks.
  • Excellent360-degree view of network infrastructure and strong hands on with various routing/switching technology i.e. BGP / OSPF / MPLS, VSS, HSRP/VRRP, Stacking, IP SLA, MST/STP/PVST/RSTP, Cisco 3 tier data centre architecture & different techniques of redundancy, Ether channel, VSS, QoS etc.
  • Maintain & Manage highly resilient, cost effective secure IT infrastructure consist of Routing & Switching, and Voice infrastructure consist of Cisco catalyst 37xx, 39xx, 45xx, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ASR, Cisco Unified communication manager.
  • Must have understanding of Cisco Voice architecture including but not limited to extension mobility, hunt group, logical partitioning, translation pattern, phone profiling, subscriber and clustering, CSS, SIP trunk gateway, PSTN call and gateway communication, Hands on experience (Operational) on Cisco CUCM platform.
  • Should have worked on various network monitoring tools such as Solarwind, HP nmi, Cisco PI or any other monitoring tools and ticket management platform such as remedy, also identify the opportunity to improve the overall monitoring.
Knowledge of Network Security architecture such as Proxy, Firewall, IPS, VPN and platform such asFortinet, and Firepower modules, Cisco ASA Firewall. As well understanding of wireless infrastructure network and management through Cisco WLC/ wISM/ wIPS/ relevant wifi technologyAct as Interface withprinciple vendors to analyses, track & review network support mechanism. Implement best practices, create Sops for repeated tasks & automation, along with continual updating to Knowledge management.Knowledge on various Network automation platform such as but not limited to:Netbrain, Cisco PI etc. and should be able to identify automation opportunities to sanitize the network operation and change management.
  • Coordinate with OEM for product related fixed, ensure high uptime and standardization of configuration in devices. Coordination with various vendors, team members, FE to make and maintain Networks HA.
  • Work with Service Management Team, Infosec Team and Network TMSteam to identify, control & resolve key investigation, support SIP & ensure zero high severity security issue/audit points.
  • Maintain & manage security monitoring & trouble-shooter like packet flow analyser, traffic analyser, sniffer wireshark & netmon, solarwind
  • Capacity planning of security infrastructure to ensure24*7 available network, along with Availability Management, Event Management & high availability, proactive forecast of capacity on the base of Capacity Report. Support service continuity measures i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan.
  • Understanding of ITIL oriented process framework is mandatory- Review MIS data & represent MIS dashboard in monthly review. Work withinestablished configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
