Job Description

NVIDIA is looking for an extraordinary DevOps Engineer to join its Enterprise Engineering Team to build the next generation Identity platform. Devops Engineers at NVIDIA are responsible for ensuring that all of NVIDIA s corp Services are reliable and super fast, all of the time. The person in this position will be responsible for the Identity Management (IDM) for internal and external customers of NVIDIA. This is a rare opportunity to work on multiple IDM solutions, multi-cloud platforms and building something to scale the business.You will have all the existing tools and software at their fingertips to dedicatedly help monitor the Platform and Services. In addition, you assist in the development or improvement of new monitoring and alerting tools, tests plan, updates to existing infrastructure, and further automate our deployment pipeline. The ideal candidate will be expected to react and respond to urgent issues and outages (globally and regionally), validating the deployment process, tackle issues in the field, and most significantly communicate current status to both internal engineering teams as well as global customers.What you will be doing:

  • Rapidly debug and triage to user-reported issues on the Corp Engineering services.
  • On-board new services & integrate with IDMs
  • Make valuable contribution to the overall health, performance, and uptime of our Services running in Linux and Windows.
  • Implement monitors, alerts and SOPs to ensure early detection, and accurate response to service-impacting issues.
  • Taking ownership of automating, scripting, and tooling of new/existing scripts to help the team achieve 100% automation of daily tasks
What we need to see:
  • MS or BS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • You will need 5 years experience supporting technical operations in a live-site production environment with a real passion for automation and tooling.
  • Built and managed critical production services built on Java Platform.
  • Understands Tomcat/Apache and other Web server Platforms .
  • Make valuable contributions to the incident management process for early detection of all service-impacting issues, accurate triage, partner communication, impact containment, service restoration, and post-incident follow-up.
  • Experience with scripting and development in various languages (Python, bash, Perl). Taking a manual, time-consuming and error prone process and fully automating the steps with a one-click rapid solution.
  • Demonstrated strengths in problem-solving and root causing issues, while continuously seeking ways to drive optimization, efficiency and the bottom line.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
  • Previous experience with Zabbix , NewRelic, Data Dog or Splunk like alerting and monitoring systems. Development, support, and scripting against these systems is helpful
  • Jenkins (Continuous Integration) setup, configuration, deployment is a requirement
  • Excellent scripting: node.js, Python, Perl, bash, Powershell
  • Managed any PTC Windchill platforms
  • Experience with Cloud Platform Azure or AWS is preferred.
  • Hands on experience on Artifactory platform is preferred.
  • Automated Infrastructure activities using tools like Terraform or Salt.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, social, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
