Job Description

DescriptionPosition DescriptionThe Search Engine Marketing Manager, will be responsible for new customer acquisition, through online media, inbound marketing and website conversion.Working collaboratively with the marketing team, this role will encompass two facets:

  • First is, focus on building and driving online marketing campaigns to own and grow the SMB/SME footprint for Qualys. Specific marketing channels leveraged would be SEM/SEO, retargeting, display advertising, linkedin, facebook and more.
  • Second is the focus on conversion and website optimization through personalization and continuous testing and refinement strategies.
The ideal candidate for this role understands google analytics and the correlation of SEM to SEO. S/He is a self-starter with a deep understanding of lead generation, the different stages of the marketing funnel, content marketing, complex B2B sales cycles and believes strongly in testing and measuring results.Responsibilities
  • Plan, design and execute paid search marketing campaigns to support various businesses goals and objectives
  • Drive data-driven decisions around what content to feature, which calls-to-action to place where, how and what questions should be in our registration forms, and many, many other decisions.
  • You will own all things reporting and ultimately use these reports to generate and optimize quality content and increase inbound leads. Guide the development of conversion paths. Continuously test and drive towards high quality conversions that go deeper in the funnel.
  • Improve bidding, keyword, creative and reporting systems
  • Set quarterly and annual traffic goals and own budget and spending analysis to maximize yield from paid campaigns
  • Proactive explore and test new campaign types, tactics and strategies to create system of continual optimization and improvement
Requirements
  • 7+ years of paid search marketing (SEM) experience running global campaigns in multiple languages. Experience with Google Webmaster Tool a plus.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a passion for testing and measuring results including deciphering incremental impact and test results. Well versed in web site analytics (tools like Omniture or Google Analytics), SEO keyword ranking and analysis, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
  • Expertise in social, retargeting, mobile app and other digital acquisition channels
  • Working knowledge of Marketo/SFDC required
  • Advanced MS Excel fluency required (pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs.)
  • B2B experience a plus.
  • Rock solid project management skills, with the ability to successfully coordinate the efforts of multiple teams to quickly take projects from ideation to launch.
  • Strong organization skills, meticulously thorough and tenacious.
  • Must be independent and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • STEM Bachelors degree a plus
