As part of the Global Services team we deliver Managed Services for Finastra applications in a cost-effective & efficient manner to various financial institutions. The focus is to improve the clients experience whilst enhancing the quality of Finastra products. Activities are executed in an Onsite/Offsite model where the teams execute tasks at different phases of the project. In this model not only will the team performs tasks offsite, they may also carry out Onsite tasks in parallel with the Regional GS team. Global Delivery Operate works closely with the Regional GS team to combine solutions with technical expertise and product knowledge thereby ensuring that the deliverables are of high quality and meet the customer requirements.Specifically, The Global Delivery Operate team was setup as part of the managed service proposition to provide operational support and service validation to the Finastra customer base. The operations team supporting live customers and their daily service needs ensuring that the applications are maintainable, always up and running and that we have an effective and efficient conduit for our customers into the broader Finastra engine.The Validation team ensures that we understand the impact of change to our services and through holistic end to end automated regression execution that we strive to delivery zero defect software into our managed services solutions for our global customer base.AS part of the build out of the testing capability and onboarding into operate we are furthermore looking to ensure congruency between our design, build out and execution of our testing capabilities. This new role is seen as a significant part of this proposition.Continuing our strategy of offering a truly global proposition we are expanding out our team to the Finastra Pune, India Office to supplement our current capability in Manila, Philippines. The ProductFinastra Managed Services (FMS) and Application Managed Services (AMS) have 4 major product silos that have been prioritised as key go to markets (GTMs) for FY 21 and FY 22;
  1. Lending (Loan IQ)
  2. Trade (Trade Innovation)
  3. Treasury (Kondor)
  4. Payments (GPP)
Working within the Global Delivery Operate Team may require working across any of these applications and the candidates will be expected to hold at least one application certification as well as broadly understanding all others at least from a solution architecture and general business function perspective.The Job Title Director GD Operate Application Operations (Pune)Job Base Location: Pune, IndiaThe Job Description/ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the GD Operate Application Operations Team, responsibilities include and are not limited to;
  1. Work closely with the Implementation team to understand the process flow, solution challenges if any and work towards implementing & supporting a seamless integration between Finastra & Customer applications.
  2. Act as a liaison between implementation and GD Operate Validation teams for technical aspects.
  3. Work closely with the Application Validation, Implementation & product teams to explore & reuse tools/processes for effective delivery of customer requirements.
  4. Should focus towards acquiring adequate understanding of the functional aspects/flows of the implemented products within short span of time.
  5. To be effective enough to handle challenges and find the most efficient ways to provide solutions.
  6. Manage a team focused on supporting multiple applications but predominantly in the payments domain (GPP)
  7. Be a thought leader in the implementation of Development Operations, Automated Deployment and Automated monitoring & Notifications.
  8. Facilitate Architectural reviews as part of the build out of our application operations services capabilities across both technical and process elements to ensure the build out of a best of breed service
  9. Help facilitate Audit programs for Finastras Payment Managed Services customers working very closely with product and our internal audit teams.
  10. Be able to articulate team strategies and capability build outs instilling and working toward a clear end state for process and architecture
  11. Ability to debug system logs and come up with technical solutions associated with data flow or processes involved or performance aspect
  12. Work closely with the other key players from the Application Validation Team and the Implementation Team to come up with best processes for seamless run of customer applications.
  13. Be able to effectively participate in project discussions, provide project updates and identify risks with mitigation plans.
  14. Be flexible to learn, collaborate & contribute across teams.
  15. Work within the Fusion Transform delivery team building out the central capabilities of a payments solution for FMS and AMS
The Required Skills, Knowledge & ExperienceMust Have: Payments (GPP) Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years managing a cross border team of at least 5-10 people across solution domains
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a DevOps, Application Support, or similar role.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in different automation concepts (ex. CI/CD, infra as code) and DevOps tools (ex. Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, etc).
    • Minimum 3 years experience in Integration using JMS/MQ, WebServices, TCP/IP Sockets.
    • Minimum 3 years experience in application deployment and configuration across multiple platforms such as Windows and Linux.
    • Minimum 3 years experience on configuring Web Servers like Apache Tomcat, Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, JBoss Wildfly, etc.
    • Experienced in Database Administration (Oracle, MSSQL, Sybase) and effective usage of SQL.
    • Ability to support and maintain multiple applications and environments.
    • Fluent in scripting languages such as Linux shell, Powershell, Python, etc.
    • Familiarity with general monitoring principles, as well as tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, etc.
    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Understand and be able to work across different styles of application and solution integration
    Good to Have:
    • Experience in cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS.
    • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
    • Knowledge of Java and supporting Java applications.
    • Knowledge of Angular JS, SOAP UI Test tool, and JQuery.
    • Technical consulting and implementation experience in client facing projects is an added advantage.
