Supervisory Responsibility:Supervise & guide SHOREBASE team for safety and efficiency.Responsibility & Accountability:a)Safety of Personal/ Material/ Equipment and Operations at SHOREBASE.Coordinate for SHOREBASE Management.Coordinate for the movement of required material/ equipment.b)Environmental protection.c)Supervise and coordinate for yard and chemical warehouse operationsd)Supervise Shipping /Port operations; coordinate with port officials for berthing of vessels.e)Handle facility management in the shore base facility.f)Carry out inspection and maintenance of equipments , building and other installations in shore-base premises.HSSE Responsibility:a)Promote and Supervise safety at grass root level amongst personnel working at SHOREBASE.b)Reading and complying with the relevant content of the HSSE manuals, instructions and signs.c)Responsible for Hazard Alerts actions.d)Studying the muster list and knowing the evacuation procedures during emergency.e)Familiarizing himself with the layout of MSB and its escape routes.f)Knowing the location of emergency equipment and its use.g)Participate in Emergency drills and in actual emergencies.h)Wearing adequate PPE and using appropriate protection equipment when necessary.i)Reporting any hazard, potential hazard, accident or near miss of which they are aware of.j)Their own personal safety, health and conduct.k)The safety and health of other persons which may be affected by their actions.l)Switching off of lights/ electrical equipment upon departure from the work area.m)Avoiding fire and health hazards associated with tobacco smoking.Competency Requirement:Physical fitness:a)No physical disability.b)Good eyesight.c)No heart related ailments.d)Medical checks every year.Professional/ Technical qualification:a)Custom and Port formalities awarenessb)Liaising with Statutory bodiesc)Report writing and Presentation skills.Behavioural Skills:a)Leadership quality.b)Ability to work and make decisions independently.c)Strong character integrity.d)Ability to understand and delegate the jobs and responsibilities to sub-ordinates.e)Gives and takes respect from sub-ordinates and Contractors.f)Trouble shooting ability.g)A good learner.h)An effective speaker.i)Maintains high standards of discipline and obedience on the job.j)Punctual on job.k)Ability to get along with co- workers and work as a team member.l)Clarity in communication.m)Observant/ Attentive on the job.n)Able to work calmly under stress.Within the Organization: Accounts/Operations/HROEC Outside the Organisation :Clients/SuppliersGovernment Authorities (RTO, Port Authorities)., *Educational qualifications:a)Graduate or Diploma in Engineering.b)Good knowledge of Spoken/ written English and Hindi language is preferred.
