Job Description

What you will doDesigning the mechanical system for HVAC product development and delivery. Must understand the mechanical and structural design requirement for HVAC equipment like AHU and Chiller.Responsible for systems design and develop complete HVAC products based on design requirements and meeting standards, review, verification and validation. This position requires the ability to work under minimal direction in collaboration with global teams to design and develop robust system solutions that meet defined system requirements.How you will do itUnderstand the mechanical design requirement for HVAC equipment like Air Handling Units and Chiller and overall project scope. Provides work estimates; and delivery of the project to meet objectives for project/system standards, quality, reliability and performance.

  • Responsible for all aspects of mechanical design requirements of AHU and Chiller
  • Analysis and evaluating engineering designs, review drawings, preparing Bill of material, verification and validation.
  • Work with value engineering and CAD design team for 3D Modelling.
  • Work with SAP or any ERP systems for BOM creation and engineering changes.
  • Understand and follow the product development process for NPD / NPI.
  • Work in coordination with project lead, product design team and overseas stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to understand design requirement and work with the team for execution.
  • Ensuring quality and timely design release of the mechanical systems.
  • Travelling onsite for prototype testing and coordination, if required.
What we look forRequired
  • BE/B.Tech/M.Tech- Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in Mechanical system design and development in HVAC products
  • Good knowledge on NPD / NPI process
  • Knowledge of HVAC equipment s like Air Handling Units,
  • HVAC&R Design - Knowledge of ASHRAE standards, Psychometrics, Air-Conditioning Systems and Components.
  • Hands on experience in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance).
  • Expertise in sheet metal part and assembly modelling.
  • Working proficiency in the CAD (2D & 3D) design tools Creo and PLM (Wind-chill) OR Inventor and Vault
