Job Description

  • Forecast reliability of New Product Development early in design phase
  • Create Reliability Test Plan for Project and drive/support these tests with design teams or with third parties in India.
  • Preparing concise and detailed reliability test plans and test reports.
  • Development of new reliability tests procedures and specifications
  • Provide input to select best concept based on Reliability analysis and Statistical data to design engineers early in project phase
  • Researching a technology to determine possible failure modes through Design FMEA.
  • Providing design input to improve product reliability when necessary.
  • Interacting with a wide variety of individuals and engineering teams to communicate results.
  • Drive strategic projects to improve component and product reliability through simulation, lab tests or field trials.
Work closely with design team in India Engg Center and offshore design teams. Interact with cross functional teams in USA to assess, redefine or clarify system level requirements, Use-Conditions and risks for project REQUIREMENTS:- Primary skillset:-
  • Minimum 4 year full time Engineering degree and 5-7 years of experience in Mechanical or Electronics industry. Experience in HVAC, Consumer Goods, Automotive industry is preferred.
  • At least completed 3 projects with respect to demonstrate Reliability Prediction, RGA, Reliability Test Plan (Life test) and Reliability specification.
  • User or advanced user of reliability software Weibull++, ALTA, HALT, etc.
Additional Skillsets:-
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) is preferred.
  • PG Degree/Diploma or Certification in Reliability is plus.
  • Hands on experience for Reliability Prediction & Reliability Growth analysis(RGA)
  • Experience in performing reliability testing including Stress Tests, Shock/Drop/Vibration Testing and Environmental Testing. Familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and MTBF/MTTF concepts, Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS), A3 & 8D, Root Cause Analysis(RCA).
  • Knowledge of UL/ASME standards and design tools-DFMEA, Tolerance Stack Up.
  • Knowledge of Minitab or any other Six Sigma software is plus.
  • Positive attitude, excellent communication, Interpersonal and teamwork skills to work with Global Teams.
Qualification:B.E./B.Tech or ME/M.Tech Mechanical Engineering OR Controls & Electronics Engineering from a recognised university (preferred with any specialisation in the Reliability & Quality domain),
