Roles and responsibilities Design swing arm / chain case / chain cover system for 2 - wheelers which includes basic layout detailing taking cognizance of vehicle layout , part level design of fork & shocker , layout & packaging checks , DFM checks , preparation of drawings & checking drawings.Doing virtual validation of suspension related parts with knowledge of load cases applicable on the parts. Involvement in component & vehicle level testing of suspension parts & ensuring completion of DVP before release milestones.Ensuring project timelines & quality targets are met during design activity of d parts.Conduct FFMEA (system / design) , DG , DRC reviews and all such tools during the design phase.Establish good communication and interaction with concerned vehicle integration teams , testing team , vendors , manufacturing plants , service teams and coordinate in case of requirementBenchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance , quality improvement , cost reduction , weight reduction.Root cause analysis for quality issues using QM tools and countermeasure proposals and implementation after thorough testing & DVP completion.Required Candidate profileJob Requirements: Technical / Function Proficient in swing arm design & having hands on experience of the same. Should be having in depth knowledge of manufacturability aspects of different kinds of swing arms like fabricated onces , die cast swing arms etc. Should have knowledge about the kind of load cases for which virtual validation needs to be done.Good to have knowledge of working principle of suspension & functionality of internal parts involved in suspension design along with swing arm.Basic knowledge of virtual simulation tools used for static & durability life prediction.Packaging of parts on vehicle layout , considering function , assembly aspects , with experience in CAD tools (UG , AutoCAD) , PLMKnowledge about overall automotive industry standards wrt swing arm & suspension area.Good understanding & awareness of new technologies in relevant work area.Behavioral: Effective team player.
