Job Description

*

Purpose: Required software testautomation engineer for setting up test bed and executing automated testing forthe Windows based product.

Job Description (responsibilities):

As part of an international test team:

  • Develop test scripts (preferably Ranorex, Rational Functional Tester,using C#, Java)

  • Test Case preparation / Test Script Preparation

  • Understand the previously developed test scripts and support forenhancements.

  • Work with software tools (Preferably Microsoft Team Foundation Server)

  • Testing Windows Patches and Antivirus updates (McAfee/ Symantec)

  • Overnight execution of automated test suit for regression testing ofthe product

  • Should be able to do manual testing occasionally

  • Interact with other team members (locally / globally) to meet andoptimize product design requirements

  • Coordinate reviews with the team members

  • Work in an Agile environment (Scrum Process)

  • Develop product domain expertise, Participate / conduct in teammeetings and Knowledge Sharing Sessions.

  • Test report preparation and communication with the stake holders

  • Assume additional roles and responsibilities as required and be ableto work independently

* Job Requirements (knowledge and skills):
  • Bachelor s degreein Computer Science /Electronics/ Instrumentation.
  • 2-4 years of experiencein automated testing, GUI testing
  • Experience in automationscripting using C# / Java (If not, at least experienced in any of the testautomation tool which required to develop script by coding)
  • Able to develop &debug the test scripts
  • Experience inWindows patch testing and Antivirus updates
  • Able to doWindows environment setup
  • Understand / developtest cases (ISTQB certification would be added advantage)
  • Prior knowledgeof protocols such as HART/Modbus/DNP will be added advantage.
  • Knowledge offield instruments/ RTUs will be added advantage
  • Good to have priorexperience in Agile-Scrum environments
  • Knowledge of SoftwareDevelopment Life Cycle
  • Experience in GUItesting (Testing of SCADA or alike system will be added advantage)
  • Strong analysisand problem-solving skills, self-directed, detail oriented, creativeproblem solver.
  • Familiarity withSoftware version control and bug tracking tools such as JIRA / Perforce / Team FoundationServer (TFS) / Clear Quest
  • Effective verbaland written communication skills as well as good presentation skills
