• The primary responsibility is to provide front line leadership to a team of 10 to 12 individual contributors working on testing and validation of automotive power electronics systems and components under the eMobility portfolio.
• Position would be interfacing with the global business functions, validation teams, CoEs and Testlab Team to drive validation across the product development life cycle.
• Position needs to Build organization capability to meet current and future talent and mentor team on power electronics validation practices in a timely manner and supporting the business Profit Plan objectives.
• The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in Engineering skills, validation skills, standards, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling rapid development and execution validation plans.
• Accountable to drive organic growth for Eaton by deploying the product validation skills and demonstrate innovation leadership to provide solutions for customer applications
• Responsible for the implementation of strategic actions related to capability and infrastructure development
• Accountable to drive predictive approach and analytical problem solving methodologies to improve the NPI/NTI and Current Product Engineering effectiveness as measured by the Business KPI s
• Collaborate closely with global and local teams to efficiently develop and implement growth strategies and technical roadmaps for proactively influencing and providing validation solutions
• Responsible for developing the technical and organizational talent to drive the objectives for infrastructure and intellectual capability building for eMobility Power Electronics products by using relevant organizational processes (example talent acquisition, performance management, Organizational and Technical capability assessment framework)
• Efficiently apply the organizational processes to achieve the objectives and outcomes. Continuously look for opportunities to improve the processes by applying DFSS, LEAN and DMAIC principles.
• Work & interact with global cross-functional and cross-cultural team. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Testing of power supply and controls hardware with good knowledge in various power converters and controllers.

QualificationsRequirement:

• Minimum education for this position is a Bachelor / Masters in Power Electronics/Electrical Engineering, with demonstrated experience in technical engineering organization.
• 8-10 years of experience with multinational engineering organization
• Vehicle industry exposure, electric vehicle application knowledge and experience
• Hands on knowledge of commisioning and operations of validation labs and equipments
• Able to plan and conduct performance, reliability/durability and immunity tests such as Surge, EFT, ESD, voltage dips/fluctuation, EMC, EMI and hi-pot, etc.
• Able to plan and conduct design verification (evaluation) test based on power electronic performances. This includes start up behavior, transient waveform, dynamic or step response, gain/phase measurement, etc.
• Prepare test plans and reports according to international standards (AEC/ISO/IEC/IPC/EN/UL), Automotive EMC Testing CISPR 25, ISO 11452-2 and equivalent standards
• Ability to Plan and coordinate the Engineering Verification Tests (EVT) Design Validation Test (DVT) and Product Validation Tests for multiple products across test sites within Eaton and external partners to achieve desired timelines and within allocated resources
