Job Description

• Strategic ownership of communication protocols, Leading specialists (FW, SW, V&V and Cybersecurity)
• Coordinating development and validation toolchains with ICD design centers Globally, including DevSecOps
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives for higher quality and productivity including but not limited to Design For Six Sigma
• Tech roadmapping and leading MGTP from Pune in connectivity firmware, software and enclosed controls
• Drive Digital connectivity including software solutions, as well as the Enclosed Control portfolio of ICD
• Lead Complete transition of motor control firmware support to Pune
• Provide brokerage between ICD division and shared COEs in EIIC (cyber, CCIS, reliability, etc.)
• Build a winning culture by developing next level leaders including hiring for software manage role, backfill of key movement of specialists, limiting turnover, focus on inclusion & diversity and career development
At Eaton India Innovation Center, Electrical Sector Americas is looking for Engineering Leader to join our Controls & Protection Division! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune. This position is for leading specific team on Industrial Controls Products a $300M size product line under the $1.2B Controls & Protection Division of Electrical Sector Americas. Primary Function of this Role:Lead & execute global programs with Engineering leadership from PuneLead a team of 50 members working on Industrial Controls Division (ICD) products for ES-Americas across technology domain of Embedded Firmware, Application Software, Electical & Mechanical Design and developmentManages department budget and performance to forecastCoach, develop and grow the next line of leader including front line managers, lead engineers & spcialistsWork with Product engineering director to formulate & execute MGPP and MGTP in sync with growth goals for ICD and product roadmappingShape Focus area and build portfolio that matters. Define clear road map for next 3 - 5 years and execute action items to mitigate identified gaps. Leverage EIIC ecosystem for validation to accelerate time to market.Define Digitalization strategy for various products considering competitor landscape working closely with Electrical Sector COEs and Digital organization.Build culture of innovation through planned events, participating in brain storming. Identify opportunities for filling disclosures and execute division goals for IP.Build Organization Capabilities Hire and development plans for the talents for ICD business.As a successful incumbant you will have had significant prior leadership expertience, would need to connect with team on technical aspects with excellent foudation on embedded systems & comm protocols. You should have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and tasks while adapting quickly to changing priorities. • Minimum education for this position is a Bachelors in Electrical / Electronics/Controls/Software Engineering, preferred is a Master s degree
• Minimum 15 + years of experience in Industrial Control Products domain.
• Preferred experience in leading teams working on Embedded systems, Software & Mechanical.
• 5+ years experience in middle level management, leading multi domain teams.
• Should have sound knowledge in Embedded systems, Industrial Communication Protocoals, Application Software applied to products like motor protection, VFDs, Relays. Softstarters for industrial applications
• Strong background in DFSS with GB/BB certification
• Drive growth in respective team in terms of breadth and depth of capabilities in Embedded, Software & Mechanical areas in product engineering.
• Proven track record of demonstrating competencies to manage a large and diverse team in global environment .
