ENO vRealize Automation ArchitectvRealize Automation Architect MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Will perform systems planning, configuration, software provisioning, technical guidance in automation, standards definition, assisting with research and design for architectural issues, assisting/providing status updates, and implementing automation platforms. Develop and support automation on the vRealize platform. Knowledge of other Infrastructure as Code platforms, such as Terraform, is a plus. Design a self-service catalog items (blueprints/cloud templates) to provision base operating systems (Windows and Linux) and layered applications against on-premise and public cloud infrastructure. Integrate Configuration Management tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc) with vRealize to accomplish end-to-end deployment and day-2 management automation. Maintain and enhance integrations between vRA/vRO and other toolsets (Ansible Tower is a plus). Deploy and configure the vRealize environment, as well as maintenance, enhancement and issue resolution. Configure source code control for use with created automation, and utilize best SDLC practices in development. Participate in Agile practices, including sprint planning, grooming, scrum calls, and retrospectives. Document errors and error handling processes, fixing code bugs, and rewriting code for workflows. Collaborate effectively with the other team members. Will create automation scripts using Ansible, is a plus. Will maintain and support automation tests, such as vRealize Code Stream (CI/CD) is a plus REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Skills/Abilities and Knowledge 8+ years of experience architecting, implementing and supporting highly available enterprise infrastructures. 3 - 5 years of experience using vRA / vRO to provision and perform day-2 management of operating systems and applications. Strong understanding of automated workflows and blueprints/cloud templates as they relate to vRealize Orchestrator and vRealize Automation. 8+ years of experience with server administration of VMware, Windows and Linux, preferably both on-premise and in public cloud. Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or Ansible is a plus. Experience with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure is a plus. Critical Thinking: Ability to reach well-reasoned automated solutions. Knowledge of orchestrating database deployments such as Oracle or SQL Server is preferred. Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present ideas and be comfortable interfacing at all levels of the organization.
